Had a long discussion with my much less emotional and level headed son, Sean. We agreed I tend to overvalue coaching and undervalue talent.

So, yeah, the talent gap between M and the elites, among which is osu, is pretty big. After a decade of mediocre recruiting, punctuated by 4 years of the RR regime that was looking for totally different kinds of players, things like IU, Minny and osu are bound to happen. Hopefully, improvement in the talent gap between M and the elites is going to lessen a lot sooner than later.

Look at how Harbaugh has upgraded recruiting in less than a year, Jeff.

I'm just as impatient as you are, but he's got this thing going right. He probably squeezed every bit of talent out of these kids this year, and did a not-so-bad job of it.

When he gets to the same talent levels as some of our rivals, look out brother.

As far as I know he is still very much up in the air with a slight breeze blowing him towards Georgia. Hopefully, he is more like an anvil instead of a feather or a fart.

I know some people who aren't Michigan fans think little of Sam Webb, but he is spot on most of the time. He is saying that the recruitment of Kareem Walker has turned into a real dogfight with Free Shoes University. O'Korn better be all-world if Michigan begins next season with the same sorry RB group.

Gotta keep it somewhat interesting right? I just don't see much playing time for him at FSU. Frankly, he may be the best RB on the board but he doesn't seem all that impressive to me on film. I hope I'm wrong.

He may be more interested in money, girls, sunshine, beaches, etc. than playing time. I agree that he isn't Bo Jackson or Hershel Walker, but he'd probably be the best back on the M roster.

Realize everyone else is going to add more commits too and more of them, M has a chance at a top 5 class and ime is solidly in the top 12. A lot of it has to do with with how many scholarships other top programs have.

They'd have to nab a few huge gets past Gary and Walker for top 5.

If M adds Walker and Gary....and they will....that would put them at 270 and that would put them at #1 for the time being. Over the past 4 years a score of 270 would have finished 10th, 9th, 9th and 12th overall. Terrance Davis would put them at 277 and solidly in the 5 to 10 range.

I don't know that height is truly a big plus for ILB. Too tall and they lose their leverage with blockers.

5'9" is really pretty short though.
