Well, Liney, I've watched the fourth quarter of that MSU game and I think JH could have done one thing better. That is he could have been more judicious with his timeouts. Certainly, he saw there was no one back on the punt receiving team, and it would have been nice to call a timeout. He was letting the clock run down to the very last second and then calling timeout. We should have gotten the punt off, but a timeout at the end would have been nice. Even taking the penalty would have been OK in order to get more blockers.
It is kind of nice to be bitching about small stuff. Two years ago at PSU was the worst coaching I've ever seen at the U of M.

But a timeout there also helps MSU. Since they were going all-out to block the punt, they'd use the time out to get their best 'blockers' into the game.
You're right about it being small stuff. I don't think Harbaugh had any reason to believe that the punt snap would be the problem on that play."in order to lead America you must love America"

And against OSU I've never see a less prepared team for "The Game" in my life. It was embarrassing.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?
Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.

The MSU game went down pretty much as expected save the failure to get ONE more first down just ONE on M's last drive to keep the ball out of MSU's hands. I think a lot of people would have done things differently on the last series of down's M had the ball and on the punt that got blocked handing Dantonio a win he rightfully deserved for hanging around until the end and finding a way to win. Great coaches do that. Good ones usually can't make those kinds of things happen on a regular basis.
I shouldn't even have to answer your question, "based on what" v. osu. You just don't get blown out like Harbaugh got blown out in your first game against osu. A hard fought, close win? Fine. What actually happened, not fine.I'll let you ban hate speech when you let me define hate speech.

In RichGOD's only home game against Ohio State, he was losing 14-3 at half and managed to make sufficient half-time adjustments to only lose 21-10. Just saying.
BTW, this is the "troll the other team" thread, right? Could have sworn that's what was going on here in some of the posts here completely unrelated to recruiting.

My fault for recognizing Harbaugh will probably not be the coming of Jesus.
Still about the jimmy's and joe's and we're a ways from seeing how well he can overcome the last decade of dispair, build some pipelines and get the program where it needs to be to compete with CFB elite programs ....... A long way to go, IMO.Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

Well, to be bring it back to topic, he's recruiting well -- Walker should finally announce for you guys this week. He'll almost certainly continue to recruit well (though Partridge won't quite have the same connections the further removed from HS he gets...heh). So, he'll get his players in.
It still seems like 2017 is going to be a harsh year, but that's probably the final bump in the road. Next season should be good if they can find a QB. However, their schedule is considerably more difficult, IMO. They could easily fail to improve...and if they can't find a QB they'll be worse.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?
Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.

Meyer managed to beat out Temple, Massachusetts, Albany, Rhode Island, Stony Brook, Towson and Wagner for three-star athlete Jahsen Wint of Brooklyn (N.Y.) over the weekend.
Harbaugh & Meyer have a hell of a lot nerve taking these 3-star guys.Last edited by Prime2; December 14, 2015, 10:40 AM."Whole milk, not the candy-ass 2-percent or skim milk."

Not I.. What do you want Harbaugh to do? This team lacks talent at QB, RB and WR on offense. The defense has been good all year but we were really thin by the last game of the season with a lack of depth and the injuries mounting.
If Harbaugh has anywhere near the talent OSU had stacked I'd take M any day of the week. Harbaugh and crew masked this teams deficiencies all year. There's only so much they can do.F#*K OHIO!!!
You're not only an amazingly beautiful man, but you're the greatest football mind to ever exist. <-- Jeffy Shittypants actually posted this. I knew he was in love with me.
