  • How is M doing in the recruitment of Donne Corley? He sure looked like the real deal in the game King finally pulled out against Lowell. If M gets Hill, does that help at all?

King must have 5-6 players that are B10 level and another 5-6 MAC type. I've never seen a 21 point difference in coaching, but I saw it on Saturday. Lowell had one D1 player, but he is a wrestler. I think Lowell sent their O line in "motion" 3 times and King jumped each time. Somebody may want to tell them that if the O line doesn't have their hand on the ground, then watch the ball.

    Cass Tech's O line averaged 316 lbs.

I was there Friday also, Geezer. That MLK TD at the end was right in front of me.

40 seconds left ... no time outs ... and 97 yards away. They score the winning TD with no time on the clock. The whole town of Lowell got kicked between the legs in those moments ...

Lowell played a great game against a team that has more D1 talent than I've seen in Michigan in a long time. They just couldn't hang with them for that last :40 seconds.

          • One of the best games I've ever seen.

The King runners, be they WR or RB, would always try to break it for a TD by using their speed and they simply refused to square up and take the last 5 yards on a run. You could tell they had had success during the season running like that, but not against Lowell. And that DB on the final play had his right hand fully on the ball and Corley just took it in his two hands and pulled it away. A real stud, but Hill was actually the most effective receiver.

            • I was impressed with how Hill performed in space. Give him the ball in space, and its "good luck" trying to tackle him. He was quick and elusive. Not really a "burner" when it came to speed, but man, trying to get him on the ground was really tough. I didn't envy those kids from Lowell.

But, give Lowell credit. They played MLK tough. Nothing to hang their heads about.

I wish I would have known you were there. I would have bought you one of those $7.00 Cokes ... :-)

              • It'll be M's turn to land elite receivers in '17 with Darboh & Chesson graduating.

                • Jordan Elliott has an in-home visit with Texas tonight according to someone named William Wilkerson. Kid sounds like Chris Barnett all over again.

                  • If the 'horns can flip him, good for them.

Michigan is making progress. Texas is not.

                      • "After extensive research and after sitting down with my family to look at all possible scenarios," he posted on his Twitter account, "I have made my final decision to further my education and football career at the University of Michigan. I have felt this way for some time now and I am truly excited to make it known. In my heart, I know that Michigan is the place for me. Time to work." Jordan Elliott

                        Let's hope it sticks.

                        FreePress:
Elliott's commitment – in addition to changes in other schools' commitment lists – helped boost the Wolverines' class to No. 3 nationally at this time, with several openings in the class to close strong.

                          • I hope you're right Oracle ... but Elliott is one of those that I'll believe he's coming when his signed LOI appears on the fax machine in Harbaugh's office in February.

                            • Elliott tweeted, unless its an in-home future visit from Michigan coaches, do not bother him. Clear message to other schools.
