Quality of the engineering school was a pretty transparent excuse.

Even worse.... I don't think the NCAA cares.

I don't want to get into it again WB, but my consistent position has always been that we should do what the SEC does. Entropy is right. The NCAA doesn't care at all. Best possible alternative is that these athletes get paid by the school. Then you have the IRS involved. I wonder if Cam Newton's father reported the $ 175,000?
If Jim Delaney really wanted to do some good for the B10, he would arrange for some five stars to wear a wire during their visits to FSU, Auburn, Old Miss and Alabama. Trouble is, the B10 schools would have to be clean (notice how nicely I put that, not hurting anyone's feelings).
I think Peppers is just a unique kid. He said recently that he is not going to leave UM without getting his degree.

Standards have gotten very sadly low around here that now people are celebrating visits as if they are an accomplishment.

....... it is grasping for straws to support their views of HARBAUGH!!!.Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.
