Right Rocky. As Talent pointed out a couple of weeks ago, Mike Weber to OSU might presage Harris to UM if Harbaugh becomes coach. At least we know JH will be giving him a call.

I'm one who has very little confidence in Shane Morris. He didn't play his senior year in HS and almost nothing last year. He is a long way from the 5* senior- to- be who impressed the scouting services at the camps after his junior year.

Clark is the kid that I thought would come back for sure with any kind of hire, mostly because I'm not sure if he has a home anywhere else. I'm not sure any of other favorites/comitments would get back involved.

But mostly recruiting is relationships. It will be really tough for JH to do much with the 2015 class, and he'll have a ton of work to do to catch up for the 2016 class. Fortunately for him, he'll have lots of buzz to ride for awhile.

As for Harris, I'd bet on UK, but Bama is in his ear big-time and they're pimping depth chart and, well, playing for Bama. I'd be very surprised if he's interested in M at this stage.

ESPN's Tom VanHaaren also tweeted that Harris will not consider Michigan even if Jim Harbaugh, who reportedly will be hired by the Wolverines, tries to recruit him. Harris was committed Michigan as an underclassman.

I don't recall saying that. I definitely think OSU felt that Harris was no longer a strong possibility. I think they liked Harris, Scott and Weber all about the same and in that order. They were willing to ride it out with Harris when he looked like he was coming, but when didn't come up for the M game on an unofficial, I think they decided to go for a bird in hand, so to speak. Weber always really liked OSU and Hoke's firing was a fair enough excuse for a decommit.

We'll see how the Weber/Harris thing plays out, but I've been told by M fans that they don't need Weber as their RB depth is better than OSU's, so presumably neither recruit is a must-have.

QB is the issue, but that's also a position where you really want to see them in person. If they can pluck Rosen, super, but I'd guess JH will settle for Malzone and try to get a top-shelf guy next year that he can personally evaluate.

Don't mind missing out on Harris. More important at the RB spot is to make sure Fred Jackson isn't coaching them. but Shawn Crawford seemed like a real loss. KLS, and Iman Marshall. Rosen seems unlikely but Towns poachable? Anyone else five-star and uncommitted on the west coast?

Crawford really likes ND, I think.

In addition to Marshall, there are a very highly regarded DT and LB from California that are uncommitted (and probably USC locks).

Harbaugh has yet to be introduced but like Pompey Magnus, he need only stomp his feet and recruits tweet a plenty!
