  • He's a little rough around the edges to be a Michigan Man. I have a friend who played on the Central teams when he was there and any time his name comes up, he calls him Brian Kelly Great Human Being.

    • In the great candidate that won't be coaching at Michigan next year, add Dan Mullen.

      • He may be a decent coach but I don't think I'd be happy with Kelly.

          • Quotes don't get worse than this from Garrett Taylor:

"I wanted to be a part of a program that knows what it takes to win and the players and coaches develop that culture. I felt like Michigan lost that while watching them play," Taylor said. "As well as the fact that I felt like Michigan wouldn't put me in the best position to get to the next level after college, especially with the problems they've had in developing their players."

            • Bring in a new coach with a great reputation and he can salvage a really good class.

              • Unfortunately, I don't see that happening. Freaking Greg Schiano turned us down in 2008. Imagine how shallow the available coaching pool is now. I think we've seen the end of Michigan football.

                • Schiano turned us down, but RichRod didn't.

Money talks. Just ask Bret Bielema. If the job isn't attractive anymore then we'll make it attractive. And FTR, the job is still very attractive.

                  • I don't know, Hanni. I just don't know anymore. The last two coaching searches produced Dumb and Dumber. I have no faith a this point. The time has arrived for the Regents to show how important quality football is to the U-M. We've reached the Tipping Point.

Smart kid. I'm amazed that it took this long for a recruit to actually say what they're thinking. Even more amazed at the ignorance and blindness of supposedly educated men in charge that fail to see the disintegration of the program that everyone else sees.

                            • You know, there is no talent problem in any of Hoke's classes. It's good and it's deep. I just wonder if the deciders who will ultimately hire Hoke's replacement have the football savy to know what kind of HCs and staff it is going to take to develop the talent and put a competent team on the field?

M football isn't out of the woods yet.

Pretty obvious that Brandon wasn't going to survive. The road ahead as far as the football program is concernd is pretty unclear.
