You might be right about the kids, Liney, but not the handlers of elites. They know damn good and well who is going to coach up their prodigies to enter the NFL, bringing a big pay day in the process.
M is not going to compete without talent. It is not going to get there with the current coaching staff who are demonstrating very plainly that they have difficulty putting players on the field who can perform at a high level.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.
On "The Herd" today….posted a tweet purpotedly from Chris Clark's account stating something to the effect (but very close) that if Hoke is fired that changes everything.
Say what you will but kids follow this crap. Also, maybe showing a lot of support for Hoke.
I think Rosebora was in NC this weekend. Wonder how that went.
We'll lose a recruit or two but we're going to lose more if he stays. And we'll get some back with the new guy and probably get that traditional first 12 months recruiting bump.
247sports.com's Steve Lorenz reported Monday afternoon that a trio of Michigan's 2015 commits now have plans to visit other schools moving forward.
Lorenz reports that four-star defensive end Darian Roseboro, five-star tight end Chris Clark and four-star cornerback Garrett Taylor have all expressed interest in visiting other schools, bringing questions about the status of their current verbal commitment to Michigan.
I'll let you ban hate speech when you let me define hate speech.
The most important comment to me was Desmond Howard's (and he picked UM #6 preseason) to the effect that when he watched UM practice, he didn't see anyone (save Peppers) who looked like they wanted to be exceptional. No swagger.
I'd even be for offering the job now to the best asst coach at OSU and keeping the rest of the staff in place. That at least allows some continuity in recruiting. We need OSU's culture.
