Which is too light. Brennen Beyer is 255 and gets pushed around.

I've never said Hoke needs 7 years.
In my experience you don't put what I say in plain language. You twist what I say. It usually takes 1 or 2 more posts for me to set it straight. Thus my suggestion for reading comprehension. Too be fair, I often don't understand what you say either. That's true - not a snide remark.Last edited by Rocky Bleier; August 7, 2014, 08:26 PM.I'll let you ban hate speech when you let me define hate speech.

Our 2010 class sucked but there were still guys like Jerald Robinson, Josh Furman, Richard Ash, Ricardo Miller, Courtney Avery, Jibreel Black, Marvin Robinson, and Ken Wilkins who had decent or at least acceptable recruiting profiles that Hoke got basically nothing out of. Ash and Robinson had impressive rankings and offer lists and they never approached competence. The only guy that exceeded expectations from that class was Jake Ryan. Hoke doesn't deserve any more of a pass than Rodriguez deserved for not getting anything out of Carr's defensive recruits.Last edited by Hannibal; August 8, 2014, 07:24 AM.

Hoke is well on his way to landing his 4th consecutive stellar recruiting class. I expect M fans to see that hard work paying big dividends by no later than 2016 as the brave Hokattimeier continue to ward off evils of RichGOD which, apparently, have no expiration date.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?
Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.

Dantonio and his staff are good. That's why MSU is good. They would have been good regardless. The record may be a bit inflated b/c two would-be "elite" programs of the B10 have been donkey poop during that run -- PSU/M. But the quality of his team would be where it is.
I mean, seriously -- how many recruits has Dantonio beat M out for and how many of those went on to be stars? Was M after Le'Veon Bell? Was M after Dennard? Greg Jones? Calhoun? Connor Cook? Jerel Worthy?
Shit, Bell, Jones, Cook and Worthy are all Ohio guys M or OSU could have if they really wanted them.
Credit where credit is due -- Dantonio and Crew were going to win regardless. They wouldn't have dominated M on the field if M were anything like it should be, but that's a separate question, IMO.
Dantonio owes his existence far more to the uber-talented 2002 and 2003 OSU defense. That was what landed him his first HC job at Cincinnati.Last edited by iam416; August 8, 2014, 07:41 AM.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?

Here is a look at the results so far of the 2011 class.
Justice Hayes 4* -- Hoke has gotten absolutely jack shit out of him. Miles below expectations
Brennan Beyer 4* --- Hoke has gotten very little out of him. He is a competent starter at best who has not exceeded expectations
Keith Heitzmann 3* -- nothing
Blake Countess 4* -- has met high expectations. Was a stud pretty much when he arrived and didn't have to be developed much
Raymon Taylor 4* -- A mediocre starter
Desmon Morgan 3* -- met expectations as another mediocre starter
Jack Miller 3* -- has fallen disastrously short of expectations that were already low to begin with. Absolutely epic player development fail
Delonte Hollowell 3* -- zero contributions
Frank Clark 3* -- had a decent recruiting profile. Solid but still mediocre starter. Has pretty much met expectations. Meanwhile, Shalique Calhoun, who came out in the same class and had a lower ranking than Clark on rivals, had a monster year last year.
Beyond that, you have injuries, transfers, etc. Hoke was left crappy recruits by Michigan standards but he also hasn't done jack shit to develop them.
The early returns on the '12 class aren't any more encouraging.Last edited by Hannibal; August 8, 2014, 09:22 AM.

Miller's a tale. IIRC he got time with the starting group last year because no one else could snap. Everything else about him was inferior to his competition. The year before, Mealer was at guard until they finally gave up on whomever if was -- Barnum -- learning how to snap. Which makes me wonder why our OL coach can't teach a kid how to snap. Chrissakes.
