  • M's OL has to prove to me on the field before I believe in this offense, nothing else on that side of the ball looks like an issue. You can't do much of anything (run or pass) when you can't keep the defense out of the backfield.

These could be a huge factors for the '14 season. A return to the RB rushing game would be huge, and a big step toward where the program needs to go.

      • Just peeked out my window and saw a pig flying.

        Strangest thing.
Repugnant is the creature who would squander the ability to lift an eye to heaven, conscious of his fleeting time here.

        • Joshua McMillon will be on commit watch at the BBQ: "They said I was number one on their boards, so I feel like if they did take someone it would be my loss rather than theirs,” he stated.

          • Mike Weber's recruitment is trending blue instead of green...

More than a lil' worried about the lack of DL commits but those are almost all out of region types who've yet to visit Ann Arbor...

M's needs left in this class:

*RB, WR, DL (x3), LB, CB

            • McMillon and supposedly Roseboro are on commit watch here. Those are two guys that would make me feel much better about the defensive side of this class.

              • Also, FWIW, mgoblog's Brandon Brown really likes our shot at Lucier-South and he generally doesn't seem very exciteable.

We could use some good news for a change. Would be nice to salvage a class that isn't a total disaster.

                • Would love to have both McMillon and Roseboro. If I were to bulid a team I'd start with the O-line, but I'd be more concerned with defense than offense. Liked what I saw of McMillon on film. I think Sam Webb said he's getting the slow treatment from Alabama - a fall back guy. I'd like to see film on Mike Weber. The little I saw of Malzone at the Elite 11 was underwhelming.

                  • Really like the talent level of both of those defensive lineman (Roseboro & Lucier-South), Roseboro might grow into a 3-tech which the coaching staff might prefer anyway.

                    • Yeah sounds like Malzone needs a lot of work or he's just going to be a "game manager" type. DeWeaver, on the other hand, sounds like the real deal. He might have to start as a RS frosh.

                      • I'm not overly enamored with any of M's last four QB's; Bellomy, Morris, Speight, Malzone but all are talented enough to play at the B10 level though most all B10 teams would love this collection of young QB's...

One of them is going to be the starter next season and hopefully there is enough talent (imo there should be) around them that all M needs is a 'game manager' type.

                        • We really need for Morris to be the real deal. Three years of watching Tony Gibson's linemen regressing has taught me that we will never succeed with a "game manager" as QB.

                          • Bellomy is done. Morris will be the starter. Speight has some potential - at least he's tall. Malzone is smallish and needs technique work. DeWeaver is intriguing. He's painfully thin, but could be good if he fills out and continues to improve. Just nice to have some depth there. M was in pitiful shape with Tate, Denard, and Devin as there QBs.

Did you mean Funk, or are you comparing Funk to Gibson?

                              • Bellomy will never be the starter but he could still make a decent backup.
