    • They'll have 3 freshman (one redshirt), at least one of which will redshirt....

*Maurice Hurst, Bryan Mone & Brady Pallante...

Poggi (redshirt freshman) was recruited as a DT, showed up looking like a potential SDE so he still might grow into a defensive tackle.

      • It kinda looks from the outside like middle-school move: ``You can't dump me cause I dumped you first''. But then again that's from the perspective of a person who is a rivalry-game loss away from writing off Hokeattimeier anyways.

        • John Reid CB, teammate of Jon Runyan Jr., could make my recruiting board if we hear good news after his upcoming visit to Ann Arbor.

That has a Johnathan Hankins ring to it. Wonder if he'll be too big when he's stuffing our run game?

            • We don't need no 5* guy. We've got Brady Pallante and Tom Strobel.

              • 5* players? we don't need no stinkin 5* players!

                • We have plenty of stinkin 4-star players, and some stinkin 3-star players too.

                  • hey, we don't need 5*'s, anyone can win with 5*'s.

                    • We need tough guys no matter what their "star" power is.

That's what Michigan is lacking right now.

                      • It starts with that, and you can't X and O your way to wins, but when the schemes are as bad as they've been it's harder to be tough. The Spurs reminded me of the Brady/Belicheck Patriots in their prime. Those teams seemed to never have a bad game. They were always sharp and tough. I think as a player, having faith in your coaches helps you play through the rough spots. Conversely if you were a Michigan player in 2013 and you started wondering about the coaches, that's the point where the doubts begin to creep in and you know where that goes...

                        • Lineman that are tentative won't look tough, lineman that don't play with good technique won't look tough and lineman that are confused about their assignments won't look tough either.

Perhaps, but they still have to squeeze there standard 7 OL into a class that projects at 16 on the low end, though it will likely be closer to 20.

Hokattimeier is a good effort, too. 3 geniuses; 2 headsets; 1 heartbeat.
