  • I've seen the charts, but can someone explain to me how UM is going to have a 16-17 member class this year and another small class next year.

    • Who decided to stop recruiting Mike Weber?

?I talked with (Nussmeier) for a half-hour on the phone. He is real excited about recruiting me,? Weber told GoBlueWolverine. ?He told me it was crazy that Michigan stopped recruiting me. So when he got there he was telling me how he really wanted me (at Michigan). It made me open my eyes back up to Michigan.
?Michigan is back on the radar.?

      • Attrition at the running back position (Hayes moved to WR?) opened up a spot in '15 for a RB. Harris situation opens up a spot but I think he's got a spot saved...

M had tons of attrition from its '08 - '10 classes, '12 & '13 were 'large' classes; '14 will be small and '15 will be ~20 (average going forward)...

Without factoring in expected attrition, '15 will be ~15 right now but there is lots of time for attrition.

        • M can't pass on Weber to hold a spot for Harris. Well, they can't rationally do that.

In any event, from what I've read MSU has a huge lead on the field.

          • Ricky Town decomitted from Bama, could he follow Nuss?

            • We weren't on each others radars before, we'll see if he's interested in M (& which others) soon enough.

              • That is excellent news.

                • Not quite excellent, he decommitted after visiting USC. That means other '15 QB's that M is competing with USC for, they 'might' have a slightly better chance.

                  • He will play on the West Coast.

                    • Agree, M has better chances with a couple other '15 Cali QB's...

                      • I don't even know who they are, but I agree. I think it's 0% with Town.

                        • Thomas Rawls, Richard Ash and Josh Furman were all granted releases from the Michigan scholarships today.

Rawls was probably no better than #3 tailback, Furman had trouble with the law, and Ash saw limited playing time.

Rawls is rumored to be heading for CMU. If so, he'll have to sit a year.

                          • He'll play immediately if he's in the program 4-years and graduates, correct?

                            Comment

                            • I think he can only play immediately if he is a graduate, and is enrolling in a graduate program that is NOT offered at Michigan.

Hard to believe that CMU would have a grad program that Mich does not have.
