  • His redshirt is burned? I thought one was allowed an appearance (or two) during a season without risking that. But very limited appearance(s).

    • I thought if you played, even sparingly you burned it? Perhaps WM or one of the CFB aficionados will weigh in?

      • I believe it's burned with one snap. I think medical redshirts take number of games played into consideration.

        • One snap and your redshirt is gone...

Unless you miss 75% of the season due to a documented injury; with a 12 game schedule, you can only play in 4 games and miss the rest due to injury... This is a 'medical' redshirt.

Too bad for Michigan. We need him more than Nick Saban does.

Oh well .. at least Michigan's new coach won't have to worry about him transferring...
Maybe when Saban leaves for Texas, Hand heads north?:-|

Everything is bigger in Texas, including the money. Also, while I think the SEC is pumped up more off of what it was 4 or 5 years ago, it's still better competition than the Big 12. He can more easily go undefeated there.

Of course, the flip-side is 1 loss in the SEC doesn't hurt as much as 1 anywhere else.

              • I know it is redundant, but UM needs to offer K. Dillman

The Michigan Wolverines must land a quarterback in the 2015 recruiting class. Brady Hoke and his coaching staff are likely to be selective in the process of evaluating prospects, ...

I don't think Nick will leave Bama.

Texas would have to sign over the title to the university to get him interested. I don't think they are that desperate.

                  • So does the huge upset today improve out chances with the low 3-star guys that we just offered?

                    • Nah .. they'll probably still choose Northern Illinois ...

                          • Brian's ``next QB'' post a few weeks ago made it seem like Michigan (Borges) doesn't want Dillman.

                            • M should have a great shot at the DE they offered, not familiar with the other new offer (RB?).

I think the goal is to get mediocre QB's then people will not expect that the coaching can make them all-americans. If one happens to turn into Cade McNown, then Borges guarantees himself another 20 years of coaching
