They prefer athletic freaks at SAM, a guy who can be a 5th defensive lineman and hold up against the run but also cover a tight end... WILL and MLB are very similar to this staff, you can get away with being lighter at WILL as you take on less OL, FB's...
People have complained a bit about 'true' offensive tackles (Erik Magnuson), I think the staff targets them appropriately but they just land more OT/OG types like Ben Braden, Chris Fox...
This staff obviously prefers receivers 6'2" or taller, 200+ lb with a long wingspan at the expense of elite speed and quickness. A bad throw to a guy like Gallon could be hauled in by a guy like Chesson, Darboh...
The three DT positions are all 'relatively' interchangeable; NT, 3-tech & SDE...
Quarterback they clearly don't emphasize speed but both Speight & Morris are better runners than guys like Navarre, Brady, Girbach, Henne, etc.
For the most part, the players you see on the field aren't the staffs 'ideal' players, these are still mostly RR's recruits with a handful of freshman and true sophomores mixed in...

Logan Tuley-Tillman is a prototype tackle but I see him as a bit of a project, high ceiling, low floor type talent... I'm not the least bit worried about OL recruiting from '12/'13 though like some here have stated there certainly is a need for 'true' tackles in '14 and going forward ('15 beyond) and M hasn't been landing them yet.

“I never could say (Michigan) was on top but they’re one of my favorite schools,” McDowell said. “Ohio State has always been one of my favorite schools. Michigan State has been impressing me ever since I got my offer from them.”
The Wolverines were one of the first schools to extend a scholarship to McDowell and the relationship continues to grow.
“That was like my second offer,” McDowell said. “It was a big deal. We keep in touch a lot. I like Coach (Greg) Mattison and I’m real cool with Coach (Brady) Hoke. I just really like their whole coaching staff.”I'll let you ban hate speech when you let me define hate speech.

Yeah, I don't see it happening. After listening to Marcus Ray on WTKA, I'm taking the Show Me perspective. One elite player isn't going to change what ails this team. Talent, toughness, intelligence, desire, pride, cohesiveness, coaching are all lacking. I don't recognize the guys in the winged helmets anymore.

Let's hope that Hand is one of those insanely talented player that no staff can fuck up. Kind of like Vince Young or Brandon Graham.
If he commits to Michigan, it will probably be the least excited that our fan base has ever been about landing a 5* recruit.
