That is just the updated recruiting board, bolded players are committed. Linked players are M's top targets in my educated opinion with mutual interest. Some of these recruits will commit elsewhere and M might need to look at plan B types...
Some recruits who aren't deciding anytime soon won't make this board even though they've shown some interest in M.

re: safety recruiting; M earlier told DB's they're only taking two DB's but if this class grows to 18+, they might have room for a 3rd DB. Mattison prefers 'tall' defensive backs who were high school corners, then moves the ones who grow too much to safety...
Dymonte Thomas, Channing Stripling & Jeremy Clark all started at cornerback, I believe I read Clark is at safety now. Delano Hill was told he'd start out as a corner too even though he looks like a pure safety.

I took Adoree off the board till he shows more interest in us, I think he's a real long shot unless M can get him to visit which he still might. JuJu is probably coming off the board too, recent info has M a distant 5th behind the in-state Cali schools. Like Adoree, M needs to get him on campus to impress him and they won't get a chance till the Fall and it's just one visit while he can visit the California schools very often...
With recruitment's starting earlier and earlier, I think we'll see CFB more similar to college basketball recruiting in terms of official visits as juniors, more contact allowed with juniors and in-home visits. This earlier recruitment hurts M in attracting the elite kids in Cali, Texas & Florida yet probably helps them with recruits within reasonable driving distance.Last edited by WM Wolverine; May 13, 2013, 03:34 PM.

Kyron Watson LB (3*) to Kansas... A week or two ago, he was raving out committing to M on his visit this weekend... FWIW I'm a lil' surprised M offered Watson...
M is hoping to land Winovich (a better talent imo), who has much better size and is just as athletic. Winovich should be announcing in a few more weeks, he wants to visit Ohio & Pitt. I've felt this was a Ohio vs M battle (favoring Ohio till recently) with his family pulling him to be near home with Pitt.Last edited by WM Wolverine; May 14, 2013, 09:18 PM.

I still wish there was an early signing period for Football. Something like the last week of September, and first week of October. That would especially benefit kids who know where they want to go, and would get recruiters off their backs. It would actually benefit coaches, allowing them to focus on kids who haven't signed.
But, I don't see that happening any time soon"in order to lead America you must love America"

Winowich will be a true Urbie - Hoke showdown. Urbie has had the lead with M favoring Watson. Word is that Watson claimed he was 6ft and later it was revealed he was 5'10" (i.e. probably too small for SAM) which led to M cooling on him a bit and scrambling to get back in on Winowich. Can we come from behind on Urbie ... I dunno .... I would think Urbie would go all out to prove a point that he can beat Urbie, whether on the field or the recruiting trail.
I think Winowich comes up Scarlet.
