Magnuson is a tackle, Diamond is a tackle that could end up at guard... Caleb Stacey is certainly an interior lineman and a possible center, Ben Braden is a fringe tackle/guard, probably more likely a guard... Haven't seen Dodson in action (highlights) but he's always listed as a tackle... Evan Boehm (haven't heard about him in some time) is a guard...
Kyle Kalis is new to my board (he's an OSU commit that is a potential decommit if OSU gets hit with sanctions) so I don't know a lot about him other than he's a very highly rated tackle...
Hoke's/Borges' rushing offense (@ San Diego St at least) relies heavily on the 'power' play, pretty simple run play with a pulling guard; Wisconsin does a ton of this and MSU uses this play a lot as well. This requires pretty athletic guards who can quickly get in front of the ballcarrier and put a block on a defender.

Crete-Monee (Ill.) CB Anthony Standifer committed to Michigan while on his visit this evening. The three-star prospect broke the news on his facebook page, taking the Maize & Blue commitment tally to 14. (Redacted) will have more on this breaking news development when his visit concludesMission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

I can sense your concern here, Hanni.
We're going to see how much being a midling talent but really wanting to play for Michigan versus taking the best talent who might not have the committment part, will work out.
If Hoke start's winning .... big, not just a 8 or 9 wins but conference titles and regular BCS appearances, with the kind of guys it looks like he is taking over waiting to see who might drop on the Top 250 list, he'll have his pick of the cream.
For now, that's just and IF.Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

The LB/DB class is likely finished at 8 recruits, unless they have an open scholarship in January to take an elite kid they are done at both spots. Who they signed are mostly blue chippers, top 200 type recruits...
I see Standifer as a free safety for now, unless he beats out kids in the same class at corner. Free safety in this defense is a 'clean-up' position against the run, you need to contain your side of the field and flow (without overpursuing and risk the cutback) to the strong-side. Mostly goes unblocked so FS's should get more than their share of tackles, being a 'solid' tackler is important as a FS in Mattison's defense. I really like Standifer's talent level, a kid that could earn a 4th star but have some concern about changing to free safety at the college level which likely bumps him up to a strong 3-star...
Ross, Bolden, Jenkins-Stone, Richardson & Morgan are all top 200 recruits by rivals (and 4-stars at 247 sports) and most other services... Ringer is a 4-star at scout (3* at rivals) and the #9 overall MLB, I'm somewhere between the two on Ringer as he's slightly undersized for his MLB role but very impressive in his HS film...
Anyway, this 'defensive' class is a couple bliue chip DT's away from being a special recruiting class and they have the mutual interest in enough DT's to land them.
