This Beaver story that Talent is referencing -- basically that he came to the game on his own, didn't talk to anyone much, left early, and they pulled his commit with the intention of ``punishing him'' and having in mind to let him recommit in a few weeks. No idea if that's true or not, but if some/most is, and I were Conley, I'd be out. That's no way to handle it.

Finley is good, but I don't think now is the time to use spots for ANOTHER offensive lineman. He's not THAT good.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?
Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.

I don't think it's clear anymore what the visit policy is. Which is neither good or bad -- Brian wrote yesterday or the day before that it should be a case-by-case thing and I agree. Have a principle and try to apply it as regularly as possible, but getting rigid with these situations would be dumb.

The policy, in theory, is fine. It's the implementation that is in question. Not to mention, the policy of turning away or slow playing guys like Burbridge, Pocic, Schutt, and Levenberry when you've got a lot of early commits, and no tolerance for wavering.

Hack nails it again. These cases should be handled in an ad hoc basis. These are 17-18 year old boys FERGODSAKE.
FWIW: Talent has not been wrong when he has opined as strongly as he just did on Conley since I joined this chat. Conley is OSU, and Hoke's stupid rule may have been a contributing factor.

Eh, I'm just the messenger. I have zero actual knowledge on who is going where. I read what I read, apply a sensible filter and relay germane stuff here.
The OSU Scout guys feel very good about Conley. From what I've seen, they are usually pretty good on this stuff, especially when it comes to Ohio kids. But they've been wrong (Aundrey Walker to USC!).Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?
Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.
