Did you read his long letter to Jerry Kill detailing why he is leaving? It's interesting, if nothing else.

For those of you who haven't read it, it basically accuses Kill of being a manipulative sociopath and, in general, a lowlife human being.

    • Yeah I did read his letter. That's what makes me think he may be a nut job. I've never read anywhere that Kill is as described, either when he was at Northern Illinois or while at Minn. You'd think that if he were as described someone somewhere would have commented on it. (But I could be wrong)

He could be a nut job, or it could be a sign of the times. Some of the stuff that he described in that letter was stuff that I have heard Bo used to do routinely. Basically saying "you suck, you don't deserve a scholarship, etc etc". Jerry Kill is unapologetically old school. I saw a news report when he took the job that he was having some of his players wear jerseys saying "Lophers" in practice. I have little doubt that both Woody and Bo probably humiliated players in front of their peers to motivate them. But back in the '70s and '80s, that's just the way that the world worked. There was a great BBC documentary on Woody Hayes that was done in 1977. In that documentary, he calls one of his players a "stupid shithead" or something along those lines. I don't know if that would fly nowadays. People aren't as accepting of it now.

        • Any speculation on whether MSU commit Jon Reschke is in play now?

          • I thought I brought that up in here yesterday, but I can't find it now. Anyway, I think he's waiting until his football season ends to make a decision. Although, MSU fans say there's no way he's leaving them since he's a legacy kid.

            • It just seems weird that we would offer him at this stage when we are set at linebacker, unless we are just trying to stay visible at his program.

              • We are now supposedly #4 on Treadwell's list, behind Ole Miss and the two Okies.

                • ... and yet, at one time he was "ready to commit to Michigan at any moment" ....

Money talks ... and gets people's attention ....

                  • Regarding Reschke:

Someone somewhere speculated about a kid who's looking elsewhere - Conley or McRay? Or maybe he (McCray) will be moved to DE. Whatever it may be, I'd definitely take another good LB.

We were just recently told he was leaning toward Notre Dame.

                        • That info (ND likely for Treadwell) I got from a Domer from another Domer from scout/rivals... This is new info coming nearly straight from Treadwell.

                          • I checked 247 sports after you reported it, and he was showing interest in ND. If it is about money, I think that's a poor way to choose. You have to like being wherever you decide to play, and you'll truly be considered an employee if you get paid to play.

                            • LTT says stupid stuff about TCU that makes you want an earlier signing period. These kids are 'committed' way too long before they are officially signed and given way too much time to overthink things. With some of these commits so early, those commitments are not worth near as much, an early signing period needs done like it's done in basketball.
