"Does this mean we have a bit more breathing room with Green/Treadwell?"
Not really, EE's can be counted as part of the previous class but M doesn't really have to worry about the limit of 25 for '13 (they already have 2-3 planned EE's), they need to worry about the 85 limit on signing day... That 85 limit on signing day is a B10 rule btw, you can actually oversign by 3 if you can show where those three scholarships are coming from...
SEC and most other conferences have no limits on oversigning which is why you often see Bama, LSU, uSC, MSU, Ole Miss, etc having 90+ on scholarship and find creative ways to get to 85 come fall.

Also, more relevantly, Ohio State has dropped Derrick Green. So, one of his definite favorites is out of the way.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?
Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.

1. Talent: Who is considered favorite for Green. Auburn? Any reason for dropping other than class filling up?
2. Let's hope that SOMEONE from UM is getting in touch with Redd. For a one-and-done, he will never get a better showcase than transferring to MI and riding in out of the sunset to play Alabama. USC has noted the need for "depth" at running back. Also, I gotta believe Redd's parents could see more home games at UM.

I really don't know. Clemson is up there. They told him they didn't have room for him after they took Taivon Jacobs. My guess is they're happy with their RB depth as it stands, they have 1 RB committed already, they have 1 "big back" coming in as a Frosh this year, there are other positions of far greater need (WR!) and they're working with tight numbers. My guess is they had one "flex" position reserved for offense -- WR or RB -- and Jacobs filled it. The rest of the offensive spots are probably for WRs and 1 OL.
The bottom line, IMO, is that UFM's biggest worry right now on offense is the lack of speed and playmakers at WR, so they'll fill up on as many of those type of kids as they can get. They can get a Derrick Green-type player in most classes, IMO.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?

Insiders and even Michigan players were awfully confident in Green RB committing today or possibly after returning from his visit. Not sure if it'll happen tonight, even if it doesn't, hopefully this visit where Hoke, staff and current commits put on the full court press for him helps M in his recruitment.
Running back imo is a big need and his skill set is a great fit for what Hoke wants to do on offense. Despite that, it sounds like M might go after 1 WR (Treadwell then play B guys like Robert Foster, Devon Allen, Alvin Bailey) and 1 BRA (Green then plan B)...
