Looking up Lattimore. The name sounds familiar to me.

    • Oh, yeah. I saw South Carolina play maybe once last year.

      • M is still pursuing 'interior' DL types (5-tech, 3-tech), there isn't a lot of need there so they'll probably be choosy who they take. Short list are guys like Joe Mathis, Wyatt Teller & Josh Augusta.

Not if he has tight hips.

          • That must be Drake in your userpic, then.

              • List of '14 & a few '13 recruit recruits camping next week in AA.

                • There's some Cass Tech QB who just got an offer from Alabama. Sounds like a stud in the making. Know anything about him?

                  • He's a '15 kid, Jayru Campbell... M just signed its Class of '12 four months ago, M hasn't offered any '14 QB's yet...

From people that have seen Chance Stewart ('14 recruit from Michigan), thinks he's going to be a good B10 QB but M should aim higher. Same person feels DeSone Kizer (Toledo, Ohio) is an elite QB... I personally think M is still evaluating the two, probably prefers Stewart (who runs pretty well) but M's junior camp that is going this week might determine who gets offered and who doesn't... Both probably would list M as favorites...

                    • Jayru Campbell was the sophomore QB from Detroit Cass Tech who led them to the Division 1 (largest schools) State Championship this past November.

He's pretty raw, but has has talent. I'd say he's a Devin Gardner type.

I thought you said he has talent?

                        I kid.

                        • heh ... good point.

If it weren't for Denard Robinson, Gardner would be the starter right now.

And, I wouldn't say that would be a totally bad thing. With the reps and experience, I think he'd be an excellent QB. He'll never be as dangerous as Denard (who is?) but I think he'll do a fine job next year as "the" man.

                          • Devin Gardner was a better QB prospect when he came in then Denard. DR got his break under RR and literally "ran" with it. I have been surprised, however, how poorly Gardner has looked in his few opportunities to play.

                            • Gardner hasn't looked real good, but I still think that is because he doesn't get the reps that the starter gets, and he's getting very little meaningful playing time. Once Denard is gone, and Gardner gets the spring ball reps, along with the pre-season reps, I think he'll be an excellent QB. Probably not a QB that will crack the all-time Michigan top 10 QB's, but still, a guy who will be an excellent QB and get the job done.

Shane Morris will hopefully get a redshirt year to hone his skills. I don't want to see him rushed into action like Henne was.

                              • I agree with that. Gardner should be fine at that point. Unless, of course, he stays at WR and Bellomy is the bridge QB. Any more speculation on that that anyone has heard?
