  • any chance of turning Elmer ... was he lifelong Domer?

    Comment

    • I think so. Maybe his dad or something went there? Something like that.

      • Elmer is a Domer (very early commit), M hopefully can replace him, he's not a top 50 kid nationally imo, not much different than other top 150 kids at OL... Hopefully M can replace him with guys from ND's home turf in Illinois which has 3 blue chip OL...

M already picked up one already today (Bosch OL, 4-star Illinois), next in line are Pocic & Tuley-Tillman. Pocic is the highest rated (competition from Ohio, Wisky, ND) but Bosch & Tuley-Tillman are talents I very much like too.

        • well that's okay. Elmer seems like a beast, but we got a decent haul last year, and we're off to a good start on the OL this year.

Hope Shane is able to convince some of the top skill position kids to turn M's way.

On Demar Dorsey, although he could be trouble, I respect the kid's desire to turn his life around ... i would welcome him in if he qualifies.

          • Those Illinois kids imo are relatively critical to this class; Isaac and Treadwell. Both blue chippers at positions of need; both are some of the very best at their position in the midwest.

            • Great to see M getting back in on the talent in Illinois. I don't think the ND draw is as strong as it used to be here. U of I's new coach said he wants to build a wall around the state, but we'll see if that happens. He is working against a lot him.

              • wow, with walls around Ohio and Illinois, where will M turn?

                • No doubt. M will be lucky to get anyone to commit.

                  • Shallman's measurables make me think he probably won't be an elite RB at the college level. He's pretty tall and not very fast.

                    • That was breaking a losing streak with a vengeance. Four commits in one day, all of them highly sought after 4* guys. Butt and/or Charlton could follow soon. Rumors flying we're not done for the day.

                      • I especially like that 5 of the 7 commits are from Michigan. Sparty did get a good LB out of Brother Rice, but Hoke is spanking Mr. Personality again.

                        • And only because hoke didn't recruit the kid.

                          • M is pretty much done in-state except for late bloomers. The rest the class will be tougher pulls out of Illinois, Ohio then outside the midwest.

                            • Hoke vs Dantonio for recruits:

*Hoke 19, Dantonio 2 (Burbridge, Madaris)...

Debatable whether M really pushed for those two.

Hoke didn't offer but it's not clear that would have made a difference.
