Generally, as you should expect, talent, Michigan fans, and probably a large portion of CFB fandom, will be outraged when the NCAA does nothing further to osu.
Of course, osu fans won't care and shouldn't. I think there could be some push back from the Pac12 and USC's AD, Pat Haden, but it won't amount to much. Once the NCAA speaks, they aren't going to reverse course.
Everyone with an opinion on this should recognize that NCAA Compliance and Rules Enforcement is based on the concept that member institutions self report and are expected to levy their own penalties. While this may sound stupid, and I think it is (but so is the NCAA, so that's a wash), it is what it is. osu cooperated to the extent required and not a step farther. IMO, given how the NCAA works, the osu approach was far superior to M's that allowed itself to spread its cheeks and take it in the ass for what amounts to nothing.
But that's the way it is .... there are differences in approaches between the path M took and the path osu took. USC, for example, took another approach altogether with Mike Garrett choosing to stone wall and he and USC had that approach shoved up their assess. osu, it looks like in retrospect, played it just about right.
So all you outraged complainers out there, suck it up. And Plueeeeze, lets not have the same old tired arguments reappear here when it actually does come down. I may be quick to delete all of them.
Heil.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

My comments weren't intended as a value judgment one way or the other on the NCAA's handling of OSU. They were only intended to explain why/how OSU feels like it knows, more or less, what the NCAA has in store for it and, thus, how UFM could make those statements to Dunn.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?
Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.

Yeah, because furbin would be completely transparent and forthcoming with Dunn had he known you were going to be hammered by the NCAA, right?
He's cut from the same cloth as tressel; lies so much he starts to believe himself.Repugnant is the creature who would squander the ability to lift an eye to heaven, conscious of his fleeting time here.

Of course OSU won't be punished anymore. They played the game perfectly. Have big-shot friends in the NCAA office. Create a fall guy, pretending that Tressel did everything 100% on his own (which everyone knows is utter bullshit). They fire the fall guy, and hire someone else, who will just continue with business as usual.
Nothing will change even 1% for OSU. They will go on cheating like they have been.

Tressel actually was the fall guy for the issues b/f the NCAA because he was responsible. The NCAA initial investigation was about the Tat-5 and Tressel's failure to forward along those e-mails. Those are the facts they found. The additional DeGeronimo stuff was an OSU issue and hence the additional sanctions. Those are the issues before the NCAA, for better or worse; right or wrong.
SLF:
I would gladly take my coach back like, yesterday. But, that's not possible. He was demonized to the hilt and is, in they eye of public, unhirable. I'd love to still have him, but the media and you folks made that impossible. Now we have UFM. Such is life. I can live with it.
Chuck:
UFM=Urban F'n Meyer to me -- destructor of evil; avenger of the righteous. Heh.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?
Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.
