Oregon is very much a player in NIL. Both their transfer QBs -- they managed to restock their QB situation through the portal -- were paid for sure.

I'll be shocked if JJ stays. He has no more upside in college and his OL will take a big step backwards next year.

The QB situation next year might not be pretty. I'm guessing that we'll be starting Davis as a true frosh.

JJ is an interesting case. He has all the physical tools and seems like a sharp guy but he's only thrown 1 TD pass in his last 5 games and the 8 total passes at PSU is being used against him, too. In a QB heavy draft class such as this one, he'd probably be better off to play another year at Michigan and move himself into a top 10ish pick in 2025. Problem is, Michigan is headed for the cliff in terms of roster talent. If he comes back and has a so-so year on a so-so team, his stock will drop and it will have all been for nothing.

I think he declares for the draft after the Rose Bowl.
