  • Bryce Underwood, QB from Belleville (2025 class) who is supposedly one of the top QB's in the country in his class, will be visiting Michigan this weekend on an unofficial visit.

    • James Turner, a four-year kicker at Louisville transfer committed to Michigan Friday. He converted 47 of his 59 field-goal attempts from 2019 to 2022, a near 80-percent conversion rate. Two-time all-ACC honorable mention.

Yeah, Underwood will be at the BBQ also, most say he number #1 QB in the nation for 2025

      • I've seen Underwood play on TV a few times. He's incredibly fast when he takes off with the ball, could probably play RB. I've not been real impressed with his passing, but he'd be a lot like Denard Robinson in the open field. JMO.

Turner could be a good replacement for Moody. But I'm going to miss "Money". I remember the days when Michigan's XP tries were a circus.

        • He doesn't have the leg strength of Moody (but how many do?) but is very reliable mid 30s-40s yard FGs

            • 3 * Jake Guarnera choosing Michigan over Florida, N.C. State, Penn State and Rutgers. During his announcement, he originally picked up a Florida hat before setting it back down, unzipping a sweatshirt to reveal a Michigan shirt and putting on a Wolverines hat.

The 6-foot-4, 290-pounder, who projects to play center in college, becomes the 15th overall recruit in Michigan’s 2024 class and the fifth offensive linemen. All five are ranked among the top 500 prospects nationally, per the 247Sports Composite system.

Guarnera is tabbed as the No. 457 player and No. 28 interior offensive linemen.

                • The theatrics of his announcement might end up being his career highlight.

                  • I'm just glad to see that they are replenishing the OL with good talent. All five don't have to become all-americans.

                    • Guarnera was recruited to play center and you can't have enough of that position.

                      • Centers for some reason are usually very underrated/underappreciated by the recruiting services. Which is weird, given how critical the position is to an offense. It's arguably as critical as QB.

He has pretty much the right size for a center. He could likely add a few pounds, but the height is good. You want your center to be stout, but quick. There was a time when all a center cold do was snap the ball, and fall down. Now, they have plays where he actually combo blocks, and pulls. He needs to have some athleticism.

This '24 class is shaping up well in the trenches. Good thing, because '23 kinda sucked.

                          • Keon Coleman WR of MSU entered the transfer portal today. UM could really use a WR1, and he would be that.

Hell yeah. Especially with McCarthy’s crappy accuracy.
