WR Darboh commits to Wolverines
The Wolverines have made no secret of their desire to add wide receivers to this class, and they picked up a good one in Amara Darboh.
Wide receiver Amara Darboh (West Des Moines, Iowa/Dowling) committed to Michigan Sunday evening, one week after taking his official visit to Ann Arbor for the Ohio State game.
The Wolverines coaching staff has been looking for two wide receivers for the 2012 class, and now the coaches are halfway home.
The visit sealed the deal for Darboh. He was blown away.
"It was unreal. I liked everything pretty much," he said. "I was expecting it to go well, but it was even better than I expected."
Current Wolverines receiver Roy Roundtree had a big impact on Darboh's decision. Going into the visit Darboh had expressed an interest in watching how the players acted with each other. He felt as though some teams had players that didn't fit his personality.
"The players at Michigan are almost like my current teammates now," he said. "That is important to me,
and I think Roy Roundtree is a guy I would like to learn under."
The 6-foot-2, 195 pound wideout chose Michigan over offers from Florida, Iowa, Notre Dame, Michigan State, Nebraska and Wisconsin, among others. Darboh has excellent hands, can make catches in traffic, and fits exactly what the Michigan coaches are looking for out of their receivers.
He has size and good speed, and will help fill the void of Michigan losing three receivers after this season.
Darboh is now the 24th commitment for Michigan's 2012 class, and the coaches will likely only take one more receiver.
Having the position almost filled this early gives the coaching staff a chance to focus on the few remaining spots in 2012, and more time to evaluate 2013 prospects.Atlanta, GA

WRT Dunn ... things seem to have taken a turn for the "red" over the past couple days. Dunn canceled his official visit to Michigan this weekend, and will now take his official visit to OlieO. I expect Pope Urban to put the full court press on him at that time.
Dunn is still going to meet with Michigan's coaches in his home this week, but with him canceling his OV, this doesn't seem to bode well for Michigan.
I'd put our chances of landing him at less than 10% at this point.
We should be okay at RB if we can get a top guy in the 2013 class. We need a stud RB to make the transition to the pro style of attack that Hoke wants.
Fitz Toussaint is in his sophomore year, and Thomas Rawls just finished a true freshman year. Justice Hayes didn't get on the field and was red-shirted. So, the cupboard won't be bare, but IMO, we need a top RB in 2013 to keep the talent pool rollingLast edited by lineygoblue; December 7, 2011, 10:33 AM."The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, ..
