      • Sounds like this Wilson guy is a ridiculous superathlete. Basically Oliver Martin but hopefully without the abbreviated career.

        • They will all sound better when the signed LOI appears on the Fax machine on State Street.

          • DE Kris Jenkins Jr. commits. He's in that 500-range for rankings. 3-star. His NFL-playing pops is from Ypsi.

                  • They also had safety RJ Moten #287c commit a few days ago.

                    • They're still lacking the 5-star talent but now have 11 4-stars.

                      • Safety has not been a strength for years. A few good players, but Tripp and Vada were the last great pairing. I suspect the new emphasis on the position might be a reaction to the 5 TD passes given up to osu last year. Maybe Don Brown learned something?

On a related note: What the hell is going on with MSU and Nebraska recruiting?

                        • I think the influx of these particular safety recruits (4 by my count) has a lot to do with their flexibility to play either the safety or viper position. Makari Paige is 6'3" and 200. I doubt he'll ever play DB at that size, but he could slide down into the viper position if he adds about 10-15 lbs.

Speed has a lot to do with it as well. RJ Moten has been clocked at 4.6 in the 40, which isn't bad for a Safety. I believe Dax Hill runs a similar time.

                              • The MSU recruiting class looks like poop. Dantonio has never been an excellent recruiter but has more than made up for it with excellent coaching. But as he drifts towards retirement, he might not leave the program in good shape.
