Like Ryan Glasgow or Chase Winovich? Trevor Pryce was an idiot who couldn't stay out of trouble while at Michigan. What is it that is being blamed on Mattison anyway? The apparent loss of Zach Harrison becaude he's "Maybe tough to play for?" Ask Urban Meyer about Greg Mattison.

Glasgow spent five years in the program, three of them under Hoke. Harbaugh inherited an NFL-rotation DT that was a walkon under Hoke.

I think Hoke was an awful head coach -- in way, way over his head. But his core competency is the DL. I'm not blaming Mattison, or suggesting that DL is now a weak position group. But for me Hoke is welcome back any time as DL coach. He picked the right three-star recruits and developed them into NFL players. And he opened the door for Gary through the Peppers recruitment.

Maybe. I think if M wins then ZH commits to M. HARBAUGH!!! would have rolled nFw, finished 12-1 maybe even been the 3-seed and had lots of hype about the "hottest team in America."

The loss and nature of the loss has utterly transformed a 10-2 season that you all would have signed up for in August. And the loss of ZH (entirely expected 6 months ago) as well as the "temporary?" flip fo Dax Hill has colored the #1 recruiting class in the B10.

If we hopped in the way-back machine and stopped off in June, and I told you M would go 10-2 (lose to OSU), finish with the B10's top recruiting class (probably-PSU is lurking) AND it would be UFM's final season, then I think this board would unanimously sign on to that. Well, the M contingent. I wouldn't. The nature of that loss is breaking fundamental rules of program development and recruiting (IMO).

Loss hurt so much as it killed all the teams & fans goals: beat the buckeyes, B1G champs, CFP, go to Rose Bowl...

All were hurt at the same time, how badly they played that day poured even more salt in the wound. M hasn't been to the CFP yet, won the B1G in forever or beat the buckeyes in forever... This team was viewed as Ms chance to break thorough and join the elite programs like the Buckeyes, Georgia, Clemson, etc.

The Hill thing doesn't seem to be a surprise. Great news if true. The whole thing appears to be essentially a process in which a kid and his family needed a bit of time to cut through some bullshit, which they succeeded in doing. Will he be here by January? It'd be just fantastic to get him in the system for the spring cycle, and ready for fall.
