  • Pipelines M had there have dried up. I'm not seeing near as much M apparel (NW Ohio) compared to ten years ago. At least Indiana talent is improving.

    • Hoke opened a few, so, if they close fast, well, the previous regime showed they open fast too.

Yeah that's why Saban took our top recruit. (you know, the one you have on your board as coming to AA)

        • No excuse to not be recruiting Ohio better.

          • It takes a kid to want to go to M and that well is poisoned in Ohio.

Recruiting board is in the first page of the discussion, Stan. Who is on there?

            • Everything is poisoned in Ohio. Ohio is the word for poison in Inuit, Thai, Croatian, Swahili, Portuguese and Latin. Yet still we've had some kids come through.

Lorenze is regarded as somewhat fanciful in the M recruiting world. He does have some connections we are told but the post I just mentioned was very pointed about Mays and that suggesting he was actually a possibility at M kinda-of made the Lorenze piece not terribly reliable.
News reports this morning are that Jones is gone at Tennessee. Maybe dreams do come true.

Nah, Hoke is interim. That should be enough to keep all Butch's recruits in the Tennessee fold. :D
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

                    • Living in rural Wisconsin, I can tell you that this description of the state is accurate. I've driven through Jim Leonhard's hometown. The sign announcing Tony as "The Home of Jim Leonhard" is one of the biggest structures in town. I wouldn't mind Harbaugh taking more of a Wisconsin approach to recruiting. Maybe he'll redshirt more when he gets some depth on the roster.

                      • It would be hilarious if Hoke somehow wins out and gets awarded the permanent job.

                            • I can.
Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?
                              Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.

He started off great in recruiting and he also started off 24-7, with a few really nice wins in there. As of the Notre Dame game in 2013, we thought that we might end up with the #1 and the #2 recruits in the country for the 2014 class. The mood changed dramatically in the first year that he was on campus. I guess what I am trying to say is that you can't be faulted for being optimstic. I was until about the middle of 2013.
