      Yeah. So important.

      • Nico Collins and Chuck Filiaga would button up this class very nicely. Najee Harris would have to be a fool not to go to Alabama. They have outstanding O-linemen every year, and their back win Heisman trophies. It's been since 1997 that Michigan had an O-line that was that good.

I pity the fool...just not Najee. He could probably be in heisman contention at just about any school he is interested in. However, the OL case you made for Bamee is strong. Playing time may be a priority with Najee which doesn't bode well because there is significant competition in Tuscaloosa. RBs for dayssssss.

That line was just OK. 2000, 2003, and 2010 were all better. This year's was probably better.

Generally agree with you, though I think it depends on how Najee sees the future to be.... this is what makes the Wilson recruitment-fail especially painful.

              • Alabama passed on Wilson, just so everyone knows.

Is that what Mario Cristobal told Wilson when he visited him on December 7th? Seems like a long way to travel just to say no thanks. If what you say is true, I suppose that's a luxury that a team that has won 5 National Championships since 2003 can afford. Michigan, on the other hand, needs offensive linemen badly, and Wilson, though raw, is a hell of a prospect.

This year's O-line was better than Jeff Backus, Steve Hutchinson, Zach Adami, Chris Ziemann/David Brandt, and John Jansen? I want what you're smoking!

Better five this year than those guys in 1997? Backus and Hutchinson were RS freshmen. Adami was a serviceable center, but not dominant one. It was a little better this year. That '97 team was not an offensive juggernaut by a long stretch. They were a very Tressel-like team that lived off of field position, defense, and turnovers.

                      • That offense could end a game though. Look at the end of the Wisconsin and a Washington State games. They had 6 minute possessions in the 4th to salt the games away. This year's offense could not do that.

                        • Yeah that has been very sorely missing the past couple of years and we have lost three games as a result.

                          • Chris Howard is far from the best back we've had, but he deserves more praise. He was a damn good back. But, in the end, the 97 defense was still, IMO, better. Maybe that's because of the era, but did that team miss more than 10 tackles all year? (I'm exaggerating for effect). And the team sure did rely on it. Weren't there 3 4th-quarter turnovers against ND on our side of the field?

What a year. We won on the field as opposed to off of it, and we won clean.

I wasnt on the visit but he wasn't a take. Unheard of for Bamas history with olinemen and Wilson's supposed superman status here right? Great prospect but huge project, yes.

                              • He didn't want to redshirt and he didn't like the idea that he wasn't guaranteed a LT role. At least that's the rumor.
