  • Can't wait until he has a QB he recruited and groomed running the offense.

In other news... It sure has turned around in a couple of years:

?I feel like they?ve got good people over there,? Thomas said of Michigan Thursday morning in a news conference at King. ?They?re winning, they know what they?re doing and I?m ready to win. I don?t like losing.?

Ambry Thomas, who committed to Michigan on Wednesday night, said the late stages of his recruitment became a two-horse race between the Wolverines and Michigan State.

    • I love me some Ambry Thomas.

      • Is he going to be our instant #1 kick-return guy?

        • Incidentally, insofar as it interests only me and Geezer, Brad Hawkins is going to end up making it to M afterall. He signed last year, but had to go to "prep school" instead -- The Suffield Academy. Now he appears set to join the class for next season. Good for him. It was a path traveled by Cardale Jones and Michael Thomas, too, though their "prep school" was FUMA.

          Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.

          • Is Michigan's more than likely doomed pursuit of Najee Harris hurting them with other RB recruits? Or is the reason they can't attract the top backs in the country the shitty O-line play the last decade?

            • I guarantee you it's not the OL play. And I highly doubt Najee Harris has anything to do with it.

And they signed the #4 RB in the country last year. When I look at the top RBs, there isn't anyone in M's geographic wheelhouse. There isn't anyone for 2018, either. It's a hard position to recruit.

Point taken. Will Hawkins have freshman eligibility?

Doomed pursuit of Najee? Did I miss something?

Aaron Banks to commit @ 3PM EST.

                    I'd assume so.

                    • I don't lose sleep over the vacillation of teenaged boys. The thing that I think concerns him is we had two stud RBs that are true freshmen in the rotation (Emmons and Jacobs) this season and Bo Scarbrough and Damien Harris are both sophomores, so they will be back.

That said, I still think he ends up at Bama.

Hasn't been hard for OSU. MSU, Indiana, Wisconsin, Iowa and Minnesota all seem to have quality backs every year. Kareem Waker is solid all-around back, but he's not a game breaker.

He chose to play for the coach with the exploding purple face.

                          • Walker projects as that, but who the heck knows at this point. But if he works his way back out of that academic doghouse that's at least an indicator that he wants it badly enough.

                            • I really hope we can keep O'Maury Samuels. He has some explosiveness that I don't see in Dillon or Taylor. Samuels is apparently still looking at Arizona and TCU.
