Ummm, next couple weeks??? This weekend is THE weekend for M recruiting...don't they even have some sort of catchy hashtag name for it? I think they've also secured Lou Holtz to reprise his #SigningoftheStars role, and dab for the young 'uns!
Seriously -- this is M's chance with Harris. That's a pretty big deal.

I cut and pasted this from mgoboards. Then I edited it so other guys like me who don't follow recruiting that closely know who these guys are.
You're right talent. This is a big recruiting weekend for M. Some of these state of Michigan guys are being recruited by both MSU and osu. Its a big deal.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.
Here's a link to a thorough run through of the 2017 class listing both commits and those M is pursuing with chances and CBs. Sorry to jump in here WM but I was tired of hearing about osu's class from talent.
Now that I've seen the link, its a pretty nice listing with a chance for it to be really good. I'll rely on others to do that 247 thing with the projected numbers and program ranking.
Check out my latest 2017 Best Guess Michigan football recruiting class prediction, which includes Donovan Peoples-Jones, Isaiah Wilson and Ambry Thomas.

I don't think OSU is recruiting any of those players other than DPJ. Harris isn't interested and they wouldn't take any of the others. DPJ needs hats on the table, so he is "interested."

M's high water mark since 247 started doing the composite is 289.15 in 2013. Last year, HARBAUGH hit 280. If M adds: DPJ, Wilson, Ruiz, Singleton, Filiaga, Collins, Anthony, Black and Irving-Bey, that will put them at 293.62 (based on current rankings) with 30 commits. I reckon they could add 1 or 2 more, but unless it's Najee Harris, the number won't jump too much.
With the 247 algorithm, as your score increases, the incremental value of a recruit decreases. So adding Najee Harris to that class only bumps it up to 300.85. Paris Ford would only bump it up to 296. However, if you add Harris to the class right now -- with only 21, then it goes from 243 to 255.
In any event, it's looking like another top 5 class on sheer volume. I expect Alabama and OSU to be top 2. I think Georgia is in a great position to finish 3rd and Clemson is well-position -- both high quality/low quantity, so they have room to go up. Others, too.
So, I'd say top 5 -- if they get those 9 or a close facsimile. If they get Harris, they'll be 3rd, IMO.

2018 will be interesting as I really don't see much of an in-state backbone for M. They're kids MSU will go after, but M may only be interested in 3 or 4 of them.
This year you have that Elite Eight or Core Nine or whatever the HASHTAG is. That's a nice backbone to the class.
