  • Yeah, there was no excuse for Minny losing that game. They had a ton of opportunities to lock down the "W" but failed to do so.

I was impressed with the Goofers running game. Those backs run hard. They'll be tough to deal with when they grow up.

    • Welcome to the Big 10 4, Rutgers.

Bowl loss = one of us

      • Michigan State wins a nail biter over TCU with a 47 yard FG with 1.01 left. State was trailing 13-0 at half, and making them and the Big Ten look pathetic again. I must say, I really wanted the Big Ten not to be embarrassed tonight, as they might not win another Bowl game.

        • Jan 1st looks like it should be an awful day for the B10.

          • How does a M victory make Jan 1st "an awful day"? I sincerely hope that USC is taking the same attitude as you WMW. I don't see all the doom and gloom. UM lost three of its four games to the top 3 teams in the nation. Lost to ND and osu by a single TD in games they shoulda/coulda have won. Imploded at Neb and got (rightfully) pounded by 'Bama. How do you think the gamecocks would have fared against Michigan's schedule? Better than 8-4? I doubt it. Even with Clowney SC is little more than Northwestern. Sure, the Mildcats took us to OT, but they still got beat. I don't see this bowl game as any different. Tight to the end, but UM on top.

            F**k the SEC.

              The S E C is far superior.

              The media says so.

              • I'm hopeful the B10 wins 1 game on Jan 1st...

Defensively, USCe is far, far different than NW. They are one of the very best defensive teams in the nation and performed at that level in the toughest conference.

                • Kinda fun rooting for MSU last night. They are so effffing lucky, and it seems good to be on the lucky side for a change. Guy drops a punt at about the 10 yard line for the winning touchdown! I can't remember when something like that happened for UM.

                      • I wasn't really "rooting" for MSU last night, but I'm glad they won. They may end up being the B1G's sole bowl victory.

That game was Lloyd-ball at its best.

Run the ball, play defense, .. and hope for a break to fall your way.

Lloyd must have been in his headset.

The six straight national championships might be another reason.

                          • True, Rocky, but in the flawed system the B(c)S has been in the years of a so-called Championship Game (beginning in the late 90's) it often hasn't even matched up the best two teams.

                            • Because the two best teams were both from the SEC, or because the other team was from ohio?

                              • Heard all the same doom and gloom a few years back (substitue Tebow for Clowney and Florida for So Carolina). Not buying it. Except for Alabama, M's losses this year were self inflicted. We beat a better team in a bowl last year, winning ugly, and we can do it again this year. I hope SCe is poo-poo'ing UM like youse guys. Thats a recipe for a good solid kick in the teeth.
