  • Of course he will.

Banned from College Football, laughed out of the NFL as Video Replay Specialist/TV repairman job, not much to do these days, I am certain most of Tressel's afternoons are empty.

As for the newly created position at the University of Akron, I suppose is not unlike "punching a time clock" in the Sopranos.... mob ties have their privileges.

    • "Mob ties" ......... The Soprano's

You could write a pretty good HBO production about osu football in the current Millenium modeled after that show. It could have a sub plot about Jerry Sandusky, Joe Paterno and PSU.

Struggling for supremacy in dirt, the Bonnanos and the Gambinos, Joe and Carlo. Yeah, tressel coming back to be "honored" is just like the welcome the mafia capos give their soldiers when one of them has coped a plea and taken the sentence for the boss.

      Hilarious.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

      • Naturally JB, however the Bucknut Parallel Universe will see things much diffidently.

I bet the moment they're off probation again, they cast JT in bronze.

"Screw your sanctimonious morality, you have no idea what he has done to benefit of our football program"!

        • When OlieO is allowed by the NCAA to honor Jim Tressel, there will no longer be any good reason for Michigan to keep the banners from the "Fab Five" era in storage.

IMO, at the first basketball game following the Tressel honors in Columbus, Michigan should re-hang the banners at Crisler Center.

I mean, if they can honor their "cheater", why can't we honor ours?

Cheating is worth the risk. Message received.

              • LOL @ Liney.

I mean, OSU even hangs the 2002 banner! The nerve - to recognize the B10's only BCS title. Heh.

The mere mention of Coach Tressel is always worth the price of admission around here. 1-9 really leaves a mark.
Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?
                Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.

                • Not as much of a mark as it used to.

When we all thought he was playing fair, it hurt a lot more.

When we found out he was an SEC style cheater, .. it is less so. In fact, in this fan's opinion, it puts his entire tenure in doubt.

                  But, that's just me.

Again... I'm fine with OlieO honoring Saint Jim. I just think that if the "gloves are off" for that, then Michigan should be allowed to honor its players as well.

Can a "Terrell Pryor" day be far off?

                  Stay tuned ....

                  • heh... saw this on another board. another BIG fan explaining to Husker fans the BIG conference

no coach represents OSU more perfectly than urban meyer. in a perfect world he could hire lane kiffen to be his offensive coordinator. their fans are utter d-bags. as you guys begin to get accustomed to the big 10 you will realize the following.
Penn state : frat fu**s, the kind of people that will fight you 10 against one.
Indiana: do they have a football team
Illinois: no fans, no team could do less with more than the illini
ohio state: if satan and notre dame had sex ohio state would be their child.
Michigan: great fans unless you are an osu fan, awesome stadium and yet the worst system to leave a stadium in the history of modern civilization. the ho chi mihn trail had better functionality.
Michigan State: think prop 48's from the past and take an entire team of them and you have the mean green.
Iowa: rich kids with a strange sense of academic greatness
Minnesota: got a new stadium decided to build it with a max of about 25,000 good seats. football is just not important to us here
purdue: good engineering school, had a coaching staff under tiller that literally had 12 guys with porn staches
wisconsin: crazy crazy party town, nothing else to do there except huff paint and drink which is cool, bielema spends a lot of time on the main drag boozin and slaying dragons...we until he married like a 25 year old dragon.
northwestern: probably one of the nicer places to go to a game if you want to get absolutely wasted. free beer...free beer everywhere. it was like a dream

                      LOL.

I'd post "LMAO" expect that this guy almost certainly hasn't tried to exit the South end zone in Lincoln yet.

                      • Is this the parking they are referring to or just walking out of the stadium?

I've never noticed it being too bad but I've hardly ever driven to a game. I grew up a mile away from the Stadium so I always used to walk there and have been dropped off within walking distance for most of the games I've gone to in recent years.
