I also hope the big ten is smart enough to hold the baseball championships in Omaha.

I do as well. I sat through our 2006 CCG game against Oklahoma when it was like 5 degrees, and Arrowhead was covered with a sheen of ice with a half-foot of snow outside...I'll pass on a repeat. Playing outdoors in December is an idea that sounds a lot better being discussed on the internet in June than it is in practice.
I also don't think seeing thousands of fans covered in blankets with frozen snotcicles hanging off their noses is an image the Big Ten wants to project to recruits from warmer climates. Seems like a small thing, but there is enough weather-related stigma to combat on the recruiting trail already.

I am past the sort of fun that GB fans seem to have wearing nothing except green and yelllow body paint in the stands when its 20 below.
Football is a fun game to watch but not played on the frozen tundra at an outdoor venue in December unless you're inside watching it on TV. Makes for good NFL highlight films though.Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

I've been to Lambeau several times in December, and I've thoroughly enjoyed myself every time. I guess not being acclimated to the cold would make you feel differently.
I'd love to see Alabama, et al travel to AA in January for a Bowl Game. I suspect we'd see a different SEC.
Cold weather teams that play indoors in the NFL(Detroit, Minn) lose a natural advantage. Having to travel to GB in January has been a huge boost for the Pack over the years.

That's valid enough for me!
I attended a Division II playoff game in Marquette in 1979, or 1980....Northern Michigan University (Which used to be a DivII power) played a school from South Carolina. At kick-off, it was below zero and snowing sideways. NMU beat them something like 63-0. Half of the Carolina kids had never even seen snow, and they basically quit halfway through the 1st quarter. If you earn a homefield advantage....let's make sure playing at home is a real "advantage".

Most bowl games are played in netural weather. If anything, occasional big cold snaps in places like El Paso or Shreveport are a bigger factor than heat. And northern teams don't play many games each year in bad weather. We only played one last year (Purdue), and it wasn't worse than what you see a few hundred miles south late in November.
