  • Welp -- that firing certainly explains yesterday's cave-in. Of course, we got blindsided by it. It's a major embarrassment.

I have been waiting for the other shoe to drop ever since the victory over OSU in 2021. Even then, it seemed implausible that it could be something big enough to net out to zero or worse.

Never change, Michigan sports. Never change.

      • I haven't seen someone this incompetent in nefariousness and executing malfeasance since Spaceballs.

        • Sports Illustrated is reporting that the Big Ten was prepared to decrease Harbaugh's suspension to 2 games and then late Wednesday the NCAA provided their new findings about "Uncle T" and Partridge apparently covering things up after the fact.

JFC. Reminds me of Monty Burns drawing a big zero and sliding it across the table. "I making an offer I think you'll find acceptable".

          • I don't know what the M AD/President did, but as soon as this story came out my first meeting is with CS and it's tell me exactly what you did and my second meeting is with every fucking coach and it's "tell me exactly what you fucking know." And in both cases, I'm telling them the only way we get ahead of this or minimalize shit is to know exactly what the fuck is going one. If someone on the coaching staff knew, so help me god, you fall on your motherfucking sword.

MY GUESS -- they talked to HARBAUGH**** who probably didn't know the details. And that was enough. Pay off/settle with CS and roll with the lone wolf.

The Partridge fixer shit -- JFC. I mean --

Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?
            Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.

            • I used to say that Michigan should be cheating, but I remember at some point qualifying it with a statement that we'd probably be morons and fuck it up becauset that's who we are, and, welp, here we are.

                • So when did the NCAA really start investigating this? Because it seems like they've got a pretty good amount of info already to have only started looking about 2 weeks ago.

A PI firm did all the heavy lifting and handed it to the NCAA on a platter. That's why this is going so fast. The NCAA just started interviewing people at the facility this Monday and by Wednesday night they were sharing the info about Uncle T and Partridge with the Big Ten and Michigan.

                    • Yeah, I'm sure they have way more people to interview. I mean, that was the point M made in its response letter to the B10 -- no one has been interviewed!

Plus, you have several transfers who might be worth talking to and at least one assistant who might talk with immunity -- an assistant that went from sucking, to be assistant of the year in CFB, to sucking. Somehow.

                        Danny or David?
                        Shut the fuck up Donny!

If you're Michigan's AD, I'm pretty sure that your first meeting is with whomever changes your diaper and makes sure that you have your helmet on.

                              • I can’t imagine a coach being a whistleblower since he would be essentially screwing over his own career by admitting that he had to cheat to be good, but what would I know?
