It's real. He also probably falsely listed Blake Corum as a member of his LLC. Or if it wasn't false, there's another whole issue to look at it. But, CS is a tool (though, I wonder if M gave him adequate "due process" before suspending him?).

But, this is one of those stories I haven't posted on because it's fundamentally not related to the issue at hand. I mean -- without going into conspriacy theory shit. It's mostly just piling on to CS, which is completely unnecessary given that basically everyone concedes he's a douche.

BTW, DSL -- the correct term for the shit coming from the M Bubble is BlueAnon. Just perfect.

    • And I could definitely see the B10 not acting today. Tomorrow is completely out as it's Veterans' Day. And then they do something Monday. Today is just so tight w/ the PSU game coming up that I dunno. Monday would seem like a better day b/c you could actually have a TRO hearing prior to the great Maryland contest.

I mean, both parties have known each other's side since Friday. There is no suprise anywhere. M's response certainly changes nothing -- I'm almost 100% certain it's exactly what they told the B10 on Friday. And I'm almost 100% certain M knows exactly what is coming. So, the only question is timing. I'm 50/50 on it being this week. I think next week makes a little more sense.

      • BlueAnon...heh heh heh

"Never trust anonymous sources" - BronxBlue

Never trust anonymous sources unless it's "a former Big10 staffer who fears retaliation and wishes to clear HARBAUGH'S good name" or "individual within the Michigan Athletic Department leaking distractions"

Well the rationality part comes from making a realistic assessment of the competitive advantage that Michigan gained by engaging in off campus scouting. But the lLittle 13 clearly want Michigan penalized based on the competitive advantage gained by the perfectly legal practice of sign stealing. That’s where the irrationality comes in, and the B1G’s dopey commissioner has signalled that he is going to do the latter.

          • Well, the rationality comes from understanding your position and potential outcomes and trying to minimize damage.

            • If the B10 does wait until Monday, then they can go 2 games for HARBAUGH**** and both Coordinators. That'd be awesome.

              • It's just like the time when the Lil 29 members of MLB ganged up on the Astros and punished them for doing something every team does, just because they were jealous of how awesome they are.

That's not the job of a supposedly neutral conference commissioner. It is, of course, perfectly rational for Michigan's conference rivals to make a show of clutching their pearls and express a bunch of outrage over it, but it's not their call.

                  • "Competitive Advantage" is such a weird term for assessing systematic rule-breaking. Everything Ohio State was penalized for in 2011 had zero competitive advantage for Ohio State. It was also almost certainly the case that you say "lots of other schools/players" do it. And, yet, it was fundamentally a question of "did you break the rules or not."

"Competitive Advantage" certainly should factor into whether you want a rule in place or not. But once it's in place, welp -- that's the fucking rule.

Yeah, man -- I'm not really into debating the BlueAnon shit any more.

You're right. M is completely right in all of this and I think CRD will end up in jail for hacking computers.

                              • Competitive advantage is a pretty important consideration when determining what is an appropriate punishment, and that is especially true if you are painting off-campus scouting as an existential threat to the integrity of the game. A punishment should also have a punitive aspect tied to it, but anything that goes beyond personal punishment to Harbaugh and the coordinators would exceed what is reasonable there.
