  • Oh, they’re definitely moving forward with a suspension, maybe more. It’s gonna be bad. Book it. I’ve never been more confident of anything in my life.

    • Gonna be 2-4 games...then the lawyers get busy...
      Shut the fuck up Donny!

      • It’s gonna be a long suspension (IMO), and I’m about 50/50 on 2023 team penalties.

        • I was thinking 2 years, then courts, some say could take years?

CFA may have been dirty for the last 30 years, this is crazy.

After this year I'm done with it, no more politics is needed in my life.

Eleven Michigan state lawmakers sent this letter to the Big Ten commissioner Tony Petitti today.

          • I guess today may be t he day when we'll find out who knows what.. If the BIg Ten takes its anticipated punishment steps, then M's lawyers are likely to reveal at least part of their hand. I doubt we'll see everything.

Straight to punishment, or go by your own rules, Big Ten? What will it be?

            • Well, I think it's pretty clear that the narrative has shifted somewhat from Michigan football cheats, punish the cheaters now, to we're not really sure Michigan did anything other than what BT conference football programs are doing. On that issue there's confusion over what constitutes in-person scouting of a future opponent and under what conditions (on the field, real time collection v. in the stands). If all that sounds confusing it is and it's not easy to sort all that out. Further clouding the question is a deep dive into whose rule book applies, between the NCAA and the BT conference, and which organization has the authority to impose penalties.

There's posts in various on-line forums from posters that claim they are lawyers that have picked apart the applicable NCAA/BT Conference rules allegedly broken by Harbaugh and if I got anything from the several posts I plowed through it was: what a vague mess of complex, poorly written rules. So, it's not surprising at all that M has revealed, by various means (the Mar's letter to the Big, the U's response to the Big's notification, etc.), that it contends the Big lacks the authority to punish Harbaugh under the un-sportsmanlike behavior rule. Their reasoning is that the Big's un-sportsmanlike behavior rules are not designed or written to cover what it is alleged Harbaugh did.

The assertion posted here that Petitti will most probably act and impose a penalty on Harbaugh/M gives him two options to do that: (1) Look like a fool and announce the Big is standing down and will await the NCAA's investigation and report or (2) Look like a fool, impose a penalty and get face planted by a federal judge. Two really bad options for him and the conference. I find that sad.

When we get down to who initiated this, whether it is a single person or a group of colluders, that finding is going to make those involved in reporting the rule breaking to the BT conference and the BT conference itself look really stupid - a laughing stock. I'd wager that the tattlers had no idea of how there initial plan to out Harbaugh for cheating would come back and gob-smack them. That part is funny but the aforementioned embarrassment to the Big Ten isn't funny at all.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

I’ve filed business state filings for a previous job. You can add any name to a filing without verification depending on the state. These state filings are also open to the public to view….
This situation seems too complicated to speculate because the possibilities are endless. Without enough information to know.

I actually find it QUITE funny. Seeing the asshats that run the BT Conference get publicly shamed would make my day.

                      • You're assuming that this matter will be handled rationally and fairly. That seems unlikely to me.

                        • I'd agree with that general statement, but I'm 100% certain we're talking different parties.

                          • Actually, I think both sides have handled it rationally. The B10 and 13 of its members are infuriated with HARBAUGH*****'s brazen, systematic and widespread cheating operation. They want him punished.

Meanwhile, M knows they cheated, can't deny it and knows that their little 3-year Dantonio Blip is ending and they'll regress bigly to the mean. So they're going to fight to save 2023 with everything they have, including overt lying. It sort of worked for them when HARBAUGH***** brazenly broke the NCAA rules re visiting recruits during Covid. So, why not double down.

Both parties are pursuing their interests. So, that's rational in one sense.
