The solution was always a 4-team playoff after the original bowl games... It would've felt like an 8-team playoff as the original major bowl games would've felt like a 1st round of 8.

I’d rather have all the playoff games at the seven bowls I listed. Keep the bowls intact.

Of course AA wants no more than 4 teams...odds are one of those four will be Bammer...so a 12-team playoff just creates more upset opportunities for the peasants of CFB...

3rd, Speaking of this year, an 8-team or 12-team playoff would have gotten us in. I’m still against it. it’s just too many, it’s gonna kill the bowls, and teams will limp in to the CFP with 2, 3, or even 4 losses.
Finally, we had the best product in all of sports, but we’re determined to “improve” things until we ruin them. It’s just human nature, I suppose.
