  • Getting a top-notch performance on the road the week after a big home win might be the toughest thing to do in college football.

So far at Kinnick: Iowa 20, Minnesota 3.

    • Row the boat all you like, Goofers ....

... but sometimes, you actually have to play better football than your opponent.

I've seen SO many good Michigan teams go into Kinnick and lose. Iowa is just plain tough at home.

Welcome to the big time, Minny ....

      • PJ Fleck just pulled a George Brett running onto the field like a madman, probably cost his team a TD since it was 4th down and they would have had first and goal to go. Iowa takes over.

          Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.

          • I expect Minnesota's going to get punished in the polls more for that loss than they deserve to be.

            • They should be top 15. That was an even game against a top 20 team on the road.

              • Their kicker cost them 4 points and Fleck cost them 7 (probably). Kinnicked.

                • Yeah, Gophers impressed me (they belong in the top 20 and could do well vs Wisky) and looked to be the more talented team. But Fleck is an attention whore while Ferentz doesn't cost his team points.

                    • We've been Kinnicked so many times, I've lost count.

The Hawkeyes can be having a totally miserable season, only to play under the lights at Kinnick, and look like they belong in the playoffs.

Welcome to big time football, Coach Fleck. And btw,... stay off the field and row your boat.

                      • I thought that Minnehaha looked more impressive against Iowa than they did in their win against PSU. They shredded Iowa's defense. In between uncharacteristic drops by the WRs and some bad luck, they lost a game that they had every right to win by 10. Kind of like UM vs. PSU.

But Fleck cost his team a first down by penalty late in the game that could have led to a tying touchdown. He ran on the field, all the way out to the hash marks, screaming about the hit, that he thought was not called. The penalty he wanted WAS flagged, .. and he picked up a UC flag for running on the field, which effectively cancelled the flag he wanted.

                          Dumbass ...

                          • It looked to me like he was trying to prevent his players from getting into a fight, not complaining about the reffing.

                              • Nice try, coach. when he ran onto the field, he ran directly to where the zebras were talking, and not to his player. He was all the way out past the hash marks, and every Big Ten coach knows they can't be on the field unless time has been granted to attend to an injured player.

He was rightly flagged for UC, and yes, it probably cost his team the game. Its especially ironic, because the zebras were already in the process of administering the penalty he wanted. His UC flag nullified that call.

Row the boat, but row smarter next time, coach.
