Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

Well, another Darnell turnover. He's giving up the game pretty much on his own.
Draft stock down.
USC is #3 on my list of greatly disliked football teams..... close third to MSU at #4. So, this is good.

Clay Helton may be the worst at effectively using a shit ton of top 100 players. I couldn't find how many are on the roster but it's more than 6 (what came in in the 2016 class). They really do suck..... as does, it turns out, most of the PAC12.

Michigan's fight song is damn fucking good, but they're all quaint nonsense except for Rocky Top. Say what you will about everything else Tennessee, but Rocky Top's the best.

Indeed. That game was a perfect embodiment of this team. That said, kudos to USC's defense. They defended OSU better than anyone since OU -- and I think better. OU was more self-inflicted asshattery than anything. Last night OSU definitely tried to run their backs on inside zone and just couldn't do it effectively. USC was dead set on taking that away. So much so, in fact, that they were suspect on the edge off an IZ fake. JTB and Campbell had some big runs doing just that. But, overall they were absolutely committed to clogging shit up between the tackles and playing a little soft behind tons of blitzes. Good shit.
On the plus side, I found it oddly soothing to watch UFM settle into a Tresselball approach in the 4th. Like meeting a long lost friend for a drink. Get a first down or, if you're lucky, to and then turn it over to the defense.
Of course, those of us who picked USC +8' in the Bowl Picks feel a little hard done. That game felt like USC should have at least scored in the final minute to make it 24-17 or something.
Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]? Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.
