Yeah, no kidding, unless there's another shoe to fall. 9-4, won a bowl game everyone expected him to lose, several years to go on contract I believe...
All because he supported his players during their two-day boycott?
The Big Ten played USC @ Home in the Rose Bowl, played Florida St @ Miami in the Orange Bowl, Tennessee @ Nashville, Florida@ Tampa for the Outback and had 4 teams in major bowls while at best the next conference had two!
PJ Fleck is a very good head coach but he's not an X's or O's guy. It's critical he hires really good coordinators. He'll recruit really well, he might even steal some of Sparty's talent. It'll be very interesting who he chooses as his coordinators and whether the Gophers allow him to spend what needs spent to hire good ones.
Western is going to be really good next season in the MAC, as long as the next head coach doesn't get in the way.
I was looking at that yesterday. osu is in another category to the rest of the BT with M not far behind. I think the next ranked BT team was PSU at 21 with Maryland and Neb just a bit lower.
This sort of thing - the huge talent gap between the haves and the have nots - is going to keep challengers at bay making for less than exciting conference play with the emphasis on the playoffs and the same teams advancing there on the regular.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.
PSU, Maryland and UNL signed good classes. Maryland, in particular, did a nice job. They got some nice talent and they got a ton of players -- when you're remaking a program, getting your guys in is pretty important.
MSU took a step back. Wisconsin does what they always do.
Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]? Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.
