I think the key number in this deal is "6 years" -- it's a relatively short period for TV rights. I think it allows the B10 more flexibility to adapt to whatever model is coming.
It also means we'll be starting the next round of contract negotiations instead of ending them.
The SEC, Big 12, ACC and PAC are all locked in until 2024-25 with their current deals. We'll be renegotiating in 2021.
The "Vegas Insider" consensus has LSU -9' which is still easy money. However, it's not as third-mortgage locky as Michigan -41'. I think M's defense may score 6 TDs by themselves.
Others of note:
Notre Dame 4 @ Texas
Georgia 3 vs UNC (Atlanta)
Alabama 10 vs USC (Arlington)
Oklahoma 10 @ Houston (NRG Stadium)
Clemson 7' @ Auburn
West Virginia 11' vs Missouri
Ohio State 27 vs Bowling Green
aTm 1 vs UCLA (Glendale)
FSU 6 vs Ole Miss (Orlando)
Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]? Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.
Well, 41 and a half! You guys added the best DC in the country to the most talented defense in the country and you have the best QB coach in the country working with at least 2 sublimely talented QBs.
So I assume your surprise is that it's only 41' when sharps around the nation know it should be in the high 50s.

I'm really liking these inter-conference games at NFL venues. Kinda has a bowl game feel to start the season and several of them will have playoff implications. If Houston gets past OU, for example, they are gonna stomp their feet and scream until they're in the CFP.
