Minnehaha and NW got cornholed, having to play UM+OSU and UM+PSU, respectively in those two years.
And no matchups between either Nebraska or Wisky vs UM, PSU, or OSU in that time. I'm surprised that they didn't match up Nebraska against at least one of the Big Three.
The good news is -- after a 24-year hiatus, we'll be resuming our rivalry with Maryland!
Maybe I missed it, but was there not some legal issues with maryland in regards to their escape clause with the acc before they could leave that conference?
I read that the parity based schedule doesn't kick in till '16 when they go to 9 games, not sure why these match-ups were chosen but you're idea sounds like a possibility with the top likely teams having soft OOD games.
Someone else mentioned this but it looks like the B10 gave Rutgers all the 'brands' in the B10 in '14; Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Michigan State, Indiana, Maryland. Rutgers will be lucky to win 3 B10 games but the B10 is trying to get Jersey/NYC all the B10's 'brands' to land the NYC market.
Johns Hopkins made it official that they WILL join a conf by 2015. Unfortunately, it seems they may want to preserve their deal with ESPNU which may not be compatible with what Delaney wants on the BTN. Stay tuned...
