Oh, man. They've got him circled in red. DEATH PENALTY.
These are the geniuses that circulated that video of him tipping the coaches and players off that an OSU play was gonna be a pass. On 3rd and goal from the 4. Clearly the man is a criminal mastermind. Oh, OSU scored a TD on that play, too.

Look Mike...the thing is being blown out of proportion...it's not a nothing burger but it's also not Watergate...something in between...I do think M is going to get penalized...could be schollies and maybe coaching suspensions...something will happen...but you KNOW that if this were happening to this degree in Columbus...all of you would be going off like fucking crazy...
Liney is correct. Just be honest...enjoy the season...take your punishment...move on...Shut the fuck up Donny!

If the NCAA had a scintilla of leadership...they would take the lead in this area...figure out a way to get the radio communication to helmets done...I know there are some things to consider with this...it's not like the NFL getting 32 teams to standardize on a protocol...but for fuck sake...get it done. This issue of signal stealing has been going on for a long time...it's time to get that done.Shut the fuck up Donny!

The salacious reporting is out of control. For example, the juicy story that Wapo published last night (behind a paywall, lol), makes it sound like there was some secret hard drive with all the incriminating evidence that Michigan coaches were accessing. It all sounds nefarious until you actually parse the words. Sports Illustrated ran an article using an actual text thread between Stalions and a friend in which Stalion was bragging about his "Michigan manifesto" which was a 550-600 page Google doc that was available for him and his buddies to add ideas to whenever an idea struck them. The Wapo article could be based on something as simple as the Google doc was stored carelessly somewhere on Michigan's server, nobody even knew about it or cared to look at it, but it was in a place that Michigan coaches had access to. Oooooooo.
And this massive budget that's been thrown around? Does $15K to fund the operation for an entire year sound like a lot to you? Not me. $3K was allocated to OSU games. The hilarious part to me is OSU fans happily admit that they were had by Connor Stalions' shaky iPhone footage and a budget of less than one month's pay of a low-level staffer. If that is actually true, the only thing I'm pissed about is that they didn't start this shit 20 years ago.

I think the thing being blown out of proportion is probably because of Harbaugh. He draws Trump like attention on anything. But to have the main perpetrator being a former military captain named Connor Stalions is ratings gold. Every leak of news is a WTF moment. You can't even digest the Michigan Manifesto news fully before the WP enters the chat and drops a bomb that leads to more questions. This is like a Grisham book.Last edited by froot loops; October 26, 2023, 04:38 PM.

This cheating setup was sloppy AF...this is as sloppy a rules violation as I've seen since the Southwest Conference was still around. Public Venmo transactions? Videos loaded on servers at Schembechler Hall? WTF? Remember when SMU was writing checks to players instead of giving cash? Yeah...it's that fucking dumb.Shut the fuck up Donny!
