Iowa and Minnesota play an elimination game this week. Illinois will get eliminated by HARBAUGH!!!! Purdue PROBABLY wins out.

If Minnesota wins then Purdue is in great shape. If Iowa wins, the Purdue is fucked. Unless UNL can win in Iowa City. LOL.
Yup. So basically, rooting for Minnesota to beat Iowa next week. It’s Iowa @ Minnesota… reasonable to expect Minnesota has a good shot there.

Purdue should win out. If not, they don’t deserve a Big Ten Championship appearance.

      • Purdue has the easiest schedule left, Gophers vs Iowa game next week will be critical; winner of that has a chance to win out. Wisconsin isn't out of it with B1G West chaos but they'll have to beat the Gophers in their rivalry game.

        • Wisconsin can't win the B10 West outright and I'm fairly certainy they'll lose most tiebreakers.

          • I don’t even want to imagine what that looks like. Tiebreakers involving Big Ten West teams with 4 losses. Sounds chaotic, complicated, and pathetic all at the same time. The Big Ten West is pathetic enough with a 3 conference loss team representing the division.

            • It's down to Iowa/Minny winner and Purdue...if Purdue wins out (likely) and Iowa loses to Minny or UNL then Purdue is in. The Boilers will be rooting for Minny to beat Iowa. My prediction is Iowa to beat Minny and UNL and they punch their ticket to another bludgeoning in Indy...

                  It’s all so very sad.

                  • Pretty much. The best of the west would be no better than 4th in the East.

                    • I like the east/west setup, but I think its going to have to change. Whatever divisions are created need to be competitive.

                        • If we even keep divisions I doubt it will be east/west. USC and UCLA didn't sign up so they could play Illinois, Northwestern, and Iowa every year

I was looking through ACC standings today and was like "oh it's an entire conference of Big10 west teams"

                          • Maybe they can be shuffled every year based on the previous years results. I don't know if that's possible with scheduling logistics though.

                              • Another week of 4-3 and 2-1. I'll take it, Up to 39-40-1 and 21-12. Onward.

Michigan State (-10) vs Indiana. I reckon the Hoosiers are going to stick with their young QB and take their lumps. He's a more dynamic player than shitball Bazelak, but he can't really throw. And that's how you obliterate Sparty. And don't look now, but Sparty is sort of inching its way back into solidly meh. I still hold that Indiana is the worst team in the league. I'll take Sparty to win this one 31-10 and hopefully this time Tuck doesn't screw me over with the number.

Michigan (-17') vs Illinois. HARBAUGH!!!!! kicked an utterly meaningless field goal at the end of last week's game. Most coaches would have run the ball and either turned it over on downs or got the first and ran out the clock. Not HARBAUGH!!!!! He knew the 3 was needed to cover. God bless. The point is that HARBAUGH!!!! will do what it takes to cover against Illinois and it won't take much. M is vastly superior. The only conceivably interesting matchup is Illinois CBs against M WRs, but we only get there if Corum is held under 200 and that ain't happening. Another slow-moving bloodbath. HARBAUGH!!!! easily covers, 38-6.

Nebraska (+10) vs Wisconsin. This is a really hard play. Either back a putrid UNL offense led by the North Platte fry cook or back an offense led by Graham Mertz. I'm not saying UNL wins this, but I am saying they can do enough to make this a miserable semi-close game. Badgers win 20-13.

Northwestern (+18') at Purdue. This is exactly the type of game the Boilers would shit the bed in. Clear path to the B10 CG. God-awful opponent. Time to Boiler up 5 turnovers and at least 2 special teams' disasters. So, eh, I think this is painfully close for Purdue, but they still manage to nip the brave, yet awful, Fitzgeralds.

Maryland (+27') vs Ohio State. I'd love to take Ohio State here, but two factors caution against it. First, it's gonna be cold and miserable and Ohio State can't play in bad weather. Second, they're gonna be on their 4th team RB for sure. So, no running game at all to save Stroud. Fortunately, Maryland is, ummm, not great on defense. So Ohio State should still score enough to win, but the last time I felt this way about an OSU game, they were lucky to win in Evanston. So, I expect this to be gross and aggravating. I'll say OSU wins 34-17 and limps into their Thunderdome obliteration.

Iowa (+2') at Minnesota. I think Iowa's defense is going to bury the one-dimensional Goofer and, you know, they're not as utterly shitastic on offense as they used to be. Never underestimate the Genius of Ferentz! Hawkeyes win, 20-3.

Penn State (-19) at Rutgers. I think Penn State is pretty good. I sort of like where Rutgers is relative to, well, Rutgers. But they just don't have enough offense to really compete against good teams. I expect Penn State to get into the 30s, and that should be plenty. PSU wins 34-10.

                                Wildcards...

Texas Christian (-2') at Baylor. Might as well hop on the TCU train. This number seems too good to be true, which means it's probably a loss. But I'm never one to shy away from a sucker bet.
Tennessee (-22') at South Carolina. UT's offense obliterates mediocre teams and UT is definitely in the business of putting up huge numbers to keep their CFP position secure.
Southern California (-2) at UC-Los Angeles. I just think Shithead Reilly is better than Chipper. And USC has more ballers.
