I mean, don't take this personally Wizzie, but UNC is a bigger national brand name than Nebraska. At least to me.
No. Football brand >>>>> Basketball brand.

      Sorry Lenin...you lose.

      • For me the best 4 options

        Notre Dame Duke
        UNC
        Oregon/Colorado

2012 Detroit Lions Draft: 1) Cordy Glenn G , 2) Brandon Taylor S, 3) Sean Spence olb, 4) Joe Adams WR/KR, 5) Matt McCants OT, 7a) B.J. Coleman QB 7b) Kewshan Martin WR

        • Notre Dame better stop goofing off with the ACC experiment soon, or they're going to get left out of the big money. They're not going to be able to carve their own little sweet deal out with a independent network, like they did with NBC.

ND needs to put on their big boy pants and join a real conference, and play real football. Every week.

                • USC, UCLA voted in to join Big Ten in 2024, creating 16-team super conference

                  • UCLA has played very few regular season games against the Big10 in the past 20 years. One series with Nebraska in 2012-2013 and one with Illinois in 2003-2004. Once upon a time they played us constantly.

                      • The problem with adding anyone else is that USC & UCLA contribute so MUCH to the overall pot, that adding a team like Colorado or Oregon probably just dilutes it.

Ironically if the Big12 hadn't rushed to add teams like Cincinnati and UCF they could possibly accept half the remaining Pac12 right now if they wanted

Oregon State and Washington State are fucked. Destined for Mountain West probably when it's all said and done.

                        • I think a couple more of the PAC 12 are going to fall to the Big Ten. My guess would be Oregon and Washington.

I think Colorado and Utah are screwed too. Only place for them will be a salvaged Big XII

                          • Rose Bowl is a Big Ten vs Big Ten bowl now?

                            • I do think you need universities to go with USC, UCLA; preferably Pac 12 teams. Washington makes the most sense then Oregon, Stanford, Cal only worth consideration.

The Big Ten's media rights deals were expected to be announced by now, assuming it's been delayed because of exactly this.

                              • Washington doesn't make much sense. USC and UCLA are $$$$ engines of the conference.

Stanford only makes sense because of Notre Dame. Notre Dame wants a national schedule and they would have it in the Big Ten. Have to wonder as well if ACC is poachable.
