Dan Patrick said on his morning show just a few minutes ago, that he's heard as many as four (4) Big Ten teams will cancel games this Saturday. I'm not sure if that includes Minnesota's previously cancelled game. Patrick doesn't usually float that stuff unless he's quoting a good source. I guess we'll see.

Silver lining in more ways than one, depending on your view.
1. Likely spares Michigan another humiliation in Columbus
2. Likely gets Harbaugh another year as HC.
3. No bowl game for Michigan, this is a good thing.

I read the Central Michigan football website for season ticket prices for 2021. Seniors like me can get season tix for $100. That's six games. Season-long parking pass is another $50. I believe that's a reserved spot.
If I go to any football games next season, they will be in Mt. Pleasant."in order to lead America you must love America"

Indiana suprised me yesterday by winning w/o Pennix, but the real takeaway is just how mediocre Wisconsin is. That's a 17-7 loss to a mediocre nFw team and a 14-6 loss to solid, but no Steel Curtain IU team. Ohio State had 700 yards and 42 points against that defense. Sparty -- SPARTY -- moved the ball better against nFw.
Wisconsin is garbage.

Regarding OSU and the CG, as I said on another thread, I think the B10's most preferred work around is to make sure OSU plays this week. There's almost zero way Minnesota is going to play, so UNL will have yet another open date. If M cancels then OSU has an open date. They're not going to run that shitshow back, but they will, IMO, find a game that no one cares about and pair off those two teams against OSU and UNL. Enter Maryland-Rutgers.
The again, this is the absurdity of the B10's rule -- all Ohio State has to do is PLAY. That's it. They could lose and they'd still win the tiebreaker of IU and go to the CG. They literally just have to play. It'd be one thing if they had to play AND win, but nope -- just play. Kick the ball off; pull your team; eat the forfeit; go to Indy. That's how fucking stupid the B10's rules are.
And, of course, that's not even the stupidest B10 rule. FUCK. THIS. CONFERENCE.

"Again, one of the things I've said since Day 1 is we're operating in unprecedented times," Warren said.
Oh ok Commish...when UNL wanted to find a replacement opponent when Wisconsin chickened out to come to Lincoln it was " rules are rules"...but now since it's tOSU and lots of mula...it's...we are flexible? Look I'm not cracking on OSU...or the fact they are clearly the best in the B1G...it's the fucking hypocrisy...fucking joke...
Fuck the B1G.

The problem the B10 has is that they've generally been entirely inflexible with rules. They have SO MANY terrible rules in place to deal with this season and they have refused to bend even an iota. That's just terrible leadership. In an "unprecedented" situation you actually need to be extremely flexible because tomorrow may bring completely new information. Instead, they've essentially remained rigid with one exception -- they have now allowed you to resechedule a B10 team if you're covid'd, if there's one available and if you can get it done by Wedensday at 1pm.
So, now, when they need to show some flexibility they either (a) can't and won't or (b) will come off looking like total asshats kowtowing to The Flagship. Either way, it's not a good look.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?

Meanwhile, the B10 has won the B10-ACC Challenge on day 1. They would have swept all 7 games if Purdue didn't hack up a 20 point lead in Miami. Cody Russell needs to answer for that embarrassment.
With 3 games cancelled (in all 3, the B10 would have been favored), there are only 4 left for tonight.
The B10 also has 10 teams in Lunardi's bracketology wi/ Minnesota on the bubble. Illinois, Iowa, Sparty and even Wisconsin are looking like legitimate FF teams. And the middle of the conference isn't half bad, either. It's going to be a fucking bloodbath in conference play.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?

They don’t know who they are serving. You would think they would want to do give everything they can to grease the tracks to allow the players to be able to play, but I truly think the stakeholders they were more interested in pleasing were the woke “shut everything down crowd.”
I also don’t think they liked being publicly questioned and embarrassed when they decided to shutter the season. So, working on a “See! Told you so!” was their driving motivation most of the season up until now. Just no need in making isolation periods more the double the CDC recs and delaying the season so long with little or no window for make-up dates. So, one is left with that obvious assumption.
But now, because Ohio State may miss the Big10 CG and possibly the CFP, they realize they have opened themselves up to even more indignation and ridicule so they are scrambling to do something, anything, to keep from looking like even bigger idiots. The problem is, by backtracking they know they will open themselves up to questions on their weak leadership (ie, if you can now undo rules with the wave of a hand -because they aren’t essential or that important to continue- why were they ever initiated in the first place, you feckless dingleberries?)."The problem with quotes on the Internet is that it is sometimes hard to verify their authenticity." -Abraham Lincoln
