Well, I somehow survived a week where I was throwing darts. 5-6 in B10 games and 2-0-1 on Specials. 7-6-1 overall. This week promises to be more of the same.

I don't think Michigan will cover. I look for something around a 14-17 point win.
Army's only chance against Michigan is to have long, time consuming drives, that keeps the score down until the end, where they'll try to steal it. Michigan's defensive speed will throttle just enough of Army's offensive drives to where Michigan's offense can take advantage of the Army defense.
One caveat: If Michigan's offense can score TD's instead of settling for FG's, then Michigan could cover easily. But, I don't see that happening. Patterson still has work to do in this offense.
And Fickel-Natti isn't going to do anything at the shoe but take home the visiting team's share of the gate. It will be a Fields/Day for osu at the shoe while the Fields for Heisman talk takes a giant step forward."The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, .. I'd worn them for weeks, and they needed the air"

M's offense should be scoring TD's. How many will be determined if Army can sustain long drives which affects the amount of offensive possessions M's offense gets.
Big difference if M has 13 offensive possessions instead of 8. Army will attempt for the latter, 12-13 is typical in college football.

The trick to defeating Army's run game is getting your 3-tech into the backfield to disrupt the play. That, along with stopping the full back dive. Is Karlo Kemp, Donovan Jeter or any other guy that slips in there good enough to do that? I don't think that's been established.
I'm not entirely convinced that the 3-Tech players can beat Army's combo blocks that are borderline chop blocks but perfectly legal when executed well and Army does that - we'll see. I'm also not sure the interior DL is stout enough to keep the full back dive from gaining 3+ yards. To prevent that you have to win the first step battle. Is M's interior that quick? We'll see.
While I get the cheery outlook here I think there are enough question marks in M's defense up front, when you are honest about it, to question the predicted ease of a win that some are predicting.Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished.
