I'd be careful with fans drawing conclusions on locker room discord in Ann Arbor. We are bound to hear mostly useless, speculative shit after thumpings like M has absorbed.

Michael Spath who currenlty works for WTKA in Ann Arbor has a pretty good track record of not posting click bait. He's been around and was at both mgo and Rivals. He's probably a reliable source of insider information .... still you never know. This tweet stream was out there all day yesterday and it does address some player discord having nothing to do with what John Henson of Chat Sports posted,

Spath suggests that there's little player grumbling when M is winning but when the losses come like they have, the grumbling is bound to leak out. The post loss grumbling in this case is related to in game play calling that departs from the game plan that was practiced or, guys are supposed to get touches and then they don't. It appears that the play calling starts diverging from the plan and not in a good way, as soon as a couple of things don't work. One of Spath's sources say the play calling, wherever it is coming from, appears to be a deer-in-the-headlights sort of response by the coaches; players get confused about what's supposed to happen next from that. It was thought it would disappear with Drevno's departure. It hasn't. Draw your own conclusions.

So, guys aren't happy about what role they think they are going to play in a game (the last two in particular) and what role and level of contribution to that game they are actually given. There's a disconnect.

Good teams, which Michigan is despite the last two games, with elite football players, which Michigan has, has to find ways to get the ball into the hands of these elite guys who want to play and want to showcase their talents to keep them satisfied and feeling like they are contributing in meaningful ways. The suggestion here is that on offense, as it is being called in-game, doesn't allow for that. The tweet stream is linked below.

Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

    • Kirk Ferentz takes down Joe Moorehead's Mississippi State 27-22 by unleashing Nate Stanley (21/31, 241, 3TDs, 1 INT). Iowa rushed for -14 yards and stopped trying early. Hello.

            • Michigan and Penn State played much worse than I thought. Iowa, Minnesota, and MSU (kinda) played much better. OSU holds on and the Big10 at least puts up a winning record, no thanks to dem wolverine bums.

              • I feel like that MSU defense might have been the best of the Dantonio era. The offense might have been the worst of the MSU era since I started following them.

                  • 51-51-2 and 22-16-1 for the regular season. 7-2 and 3-0 for the bowl season. So, 58-53-2 and 25-16-1. So, 83-69-3 overall. Recovered a bit from the disastrous championship week 0-1, 0-3.

If Clemson wins he wins the Bowl Pool for an unprecedented 3 for 3 sweep going into Playoffs Contest. If Alabama wins, then I win. In other words, Clemson +5' is the motherfucking lock of all-time and I'd bet Clemson huge on the money line.
