Yeah, but you lost to, by far and away, the best team you played. You haven't beaten any team that is particularly good. Just a bunch of meh. But, sure, I think when M wins out they'll be in.

B10 is a mixed bag of a conference this season. A lot of bad losses and good wins.
The teams M defeated:
- Nebraska lost to Troy.
- Northwestern lost to Duke and Akron.
- Maryland lost to Temple. *Beat Texas
- Wisconsin lost to BYU.
- MSU lost to ASU.
Maryland defeated one of the best B12 teams, Texas. IU has a win over the ACC Coastal Division leader, Virginia. Purdue destroyed Boston College. Penn St annihilated a Pitt team that is 3-1 in the ACC.
Considering the B10 wins over Texas, TCU, and Iowa St (am I forgetting one?) ... a 1-loss B10 team (Ohio St, Michigan) is ahead of a 1-loss B12 team (Oklahoma), no question.AAL 2023 - Alim McNeill

All that crap is meaningless, bowl games are about money they will find a way to get Michigan in there if they are 12-1.
Even Michigan vs Sparty was the #2 watched game that weekend.
College football fans are obsessed with the Winged Helmet.
Michigan/osu will be #1 again. That will be the 4th time this year, the CCG will be 5th
If Michigan makes the playoffs that will be highest rated game (s) in the history of CFB

That doesn't matter. At least for present year. The charged ad rates by the networks are the same regardless of the opponent. Companies buy an ad spot for the CFP, weeks/months in advance, with teams tbd.
What matters is the ground stuff: hotels, restaurant and ticket sales. And OU would sell out."The problem with quotes on the Internet is that it is sometimes hard to verify their authenticity." -Abraham Lincoln

Now, following year rates are affected by a bump in the ratings this year. So, it's a good thing, but the concern the Committee would have for networks' next year rev isn't a consideration."The problem with quotes on the Internet is that it is sometimes hard to verify their authenticity." -Abraham Lincoln
