Not sure about PSU. I thought both Barkley and McSorely were gone so that shows how closely I follow them. What's happening to their OL/DL? A quick look says some returning starters but I didn't study it. That's going to be key. You're right about Franklin and his recruiting. Snagged some top OLmen in the 2018 class.

He's building a franchise and no, I don't pay a lot of attention to mgoblow and peanut gallery comments about Franklin. Admittedly, I had a preconceived notion about him that wasn't positive. Not anymore.

MSU? I don't think they will play on par with M, osu or maybe PSU - that depending on PSU's OL and DL.

You can call them excuses and you'd be right regarding M's on field performance if some of them weren't valid in 2017. Don't need to go down that road. M isn't going to win championships with MAC level or below QBs and a shit show for an offensive line.

I'm 70/30 OL player's/coach's fault and have been clear about this. I'm not alone in this view. Get minor up-grades in QB and OL play in 2018 and you'll see a huge difference in offensive efficiency. Just saying and M will get a lot more than a minor upgrade in both units.
